Being the leading show in the UK no wonder every show is sold out time and time again. Is it the amazing

fights that the ultimate challenge put on? Is it the spectacular venue? Is it the celebrities that are always

there? Maybe it’s the abundance of ring girls, dancers, hot hostesses and massage girls? I wish we knew

the secret but it’s the hottest ticket in town. Aired on Sky Sports where you can also see in depth interviews

with fighters and fans, there’s always something going on at UCMMA

The next installment of Ultimate Challenge, ‘Never Back Down’ on May 8th has another nail biting line up

with some of the hottest MMA stars set to square up in the cage. Four titles are up for grabs and its going to

be no easy contest.

The currently ranked number four in the heavyweights for UCMMA, the Cypriot Stav Economou -

affectionately known to his fans as, ‘Crazy Bear’ – successfully stood up to Shola Adeniran in his last fight.

For the main event, he will take on the formidable force of Neil “The Goliath” Grove, the current heavyweight

champion who holds a black belt in Shodan and stands at 6ft 6” tall. With Neil’s stature towering over Stav’s

by a significant five inches, but the two bearing almost equal weight, the question is whether Stav will be

able to find an advantage and beware, he’s more skilful than he looks. Exciting viewing? Guaranteed.

‘Never Back Down’ will also feature, Jimi Manuwa or ‘Poster Boy’ who will be defending his title as Ultimate

Challenge UK’s Light Heavyweight Champion. He’ll be putting his love of fast cars to one side in favour of

flexing his physical prowess in the cage and testing his might against Reza Meldavian.

Veteran Mark ‘The Beast’ Epstein in the red corner will be taking on Jack Mason in the blue and Scott ‘Too

Hot’ Jansen will be looking to repeat his awesome performance against Azran Quasid. However, this time

it’ll be the super strength of Steve Elliott he’ll be facing in the cage.

Dyson Roberts a Goju Karate expert by background, will take on the continually growing presence of

Jamaine Facey in what will be the grudge match of the night. They’ll be looking to repeat their stunning

winning performances for this welterweight fight. Dyson will be aiming to keep up his impeccable track

record which includes beating an opponent in under two minutes. Bear in mind too, that he competed

against fighters above his weight to make it into the MMA championships in the first place so he’ll be a

serious threat. But if Jamaine repeats his amazing, blink and you’ll miss it knock out performance, he could

put a serious dent in Dyson’s so far superb record.

Dan Smith from Semtex gym will be looking to see what Brad Wheeler is made of for the feather weight uk-1

title and with the new rules [ IE MMA gloves ] this set to be a war
