UFC 56: Full Force UFC Champs Rich Franklin and Matt Hughes Defend Titles Against Nate Quarry and Karo Parisyan Tickets on Sale Now!

Rich Franklin and Matt Hughes will take on contenders Nate Quarry and Karo Parisyan for back-to-back title defense fights at UFC 56: FULL FORCE. The all-star lineup of fights will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday, Nov. 19 and doors will open at 4:00pm.
UFC 56: FULL FORCE is also available live on pay-per-view at 10:00pm ET/7:00pm PT, on iN DEMAND, DIRECTV, DISH Network and TVN for a suggested retail price of $34.95, and Bell ExpressVu and Viewer's Choice Canada for a suggested retail price of $39.95.
Tickets priced at $400, $300, $200, $100 and $50, not including applicable service charges and taxes, are on sale now and are available through any MGM Grand box office outlet. Quarry (14-1) fighting out of Gresham, OR, for his first title defense since capturing the belt from Evan Tanner by doctor stoppage at UFC 53 in June 2005. Quarry, who trains with the highly respected Team Quest fight club, is coming off a series of knockout victories including Pete Sell at Ultimate Fight Night (8/6/05), Shonie Carter at UFC 53 (6/4/05) and Lodune Sincaid at The Ultimate Fighter: Season 1 finale (4/9/05).
UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Hughes (39-4) hailing from Hillsboro, IL will square off against Karo Parisyan (22-3) fighting out of North Hollywood, CA to make his second consecutive UFC title defense. Hughes re-gained the welterweight crown at UFC 50 (10/22/04) in Atlantic City by stopping Georges St. Pierre with an arm bar at 4:59 of the first round, and then defended his title at UFC 52 in Las Vegas (4/16/05) against Frank Trigg, winning by a rear naked choke. Parisyan, a Judo stylist known for his spectacular throws and submissions, is coming off four consecutive wins including a unanimous decision against Chris Lytle at UFC 51 (2/5/05), a split decision victory over Nick Diaz at UFC 49 (8/21/04), and a unanimous decision victory over Matt Serra at UFC 53 (6/04/05).
Also announced is a welterweight matchup between Georges St. Pierre (10-1) fighting out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada and Sean Sherk (33-1-1) fighting out of Oak Grove, MN. St. Pierre, known for his versatility and incredible athleticism, is pound-for-pound one of the most talented fighters in the UFC. Sherk has an impressive 33-1-1 MMA record, including a current 12-bout winning streak, and is a strong fighter with top- notch wrestling skills. Both fighters are looking for a victory to position themselves for a shot at the welterweight crown.
Rich Franklin and Matt Hughes currently have starring roles as coaches in the hit reality series The Ultimate Fighter・Season 2, airing Monday nights on Spike TV at 11:00pm ET/PT.
