Las Vegas, NV -- The Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) organization added three fights to UFC 55: FURY live at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut Friday, October 7, 2005, also available live on pay-per-view at 10 pm. ET/7 pm PT, on iN DEMAND, DIRECTV, DISH Network, TVN, Bell ExpressVu and Viewer’s Choice Canada for a suggested retail price of $34.95.
In a competitive middleweight matchup, Jorge “El Conquistador” Rivera will take on Dennis “Superman” Hallman.
Dennis Hallman (57-10-2) 5’9”/185 lbs. fighting out of Yelm, WA, is one of the most feared and experienced fighters in MMA -- and the only man ever to defeat Matt Hughes twice. Hallman will be making his UFC debut as a middleweight, previously fighting as a lightweight and welterweight. Jorge Rivera, (12-4-0) 6’1”/185 lbs. fighting out of Milford, MA, is a career middleweight fighter equipped with strong striking skills and a punishing clinching game. He is looking for a victory over Hallman to position himself as a top contender for the UFC belt.
UFC 55: FURY main event is a heavy-hitting UFC Heavyweight title fight between current UFC Champ Andrei “The Pit Bull” Arlovski and contender Paul “The Headhunter” Buentello. The event also features a light heavyweight battle between Forrest Griffin, winner of The Ultimate Fighter™ 1 finale and Elvis “The King of Rock n Rumble” Sinosic.

Two more action-packed fights have been added to the line-up, the light heavyweight bout Alessio Sakara vs. Ron Faircloth and welterweight bout Joe Riggs vs. Chris Lytle.
Joe Riggs vs. Chris Lytle Joe Riggs, (25-6-0) 6’0”/170 lbs. fighting out of Phoenix, AZ, won at UFC 49 (8/21/04) by submitting Joe Doerksen at 2:39 of the second round. He will make his debut as a welterweight, coming down from both the heavyweight and middleweight class. Chris Lytle, (29-11-4) 5’11”/170 lbs. fighting out of Indianapolis, IN, is a veteran MMA fighter with more than forty fights on his record. A pro boxer (13-1-1) with superb grappling skills, he is an extremely tough opponent yet to be stopped in a fight.
Ron Faircloth vs. Alessio Sakara Ron Faircloth, (25-10) 5’9”/205 lbs. fighting out of Stoughton, WI, is a seasoned fighter who trains under UFC veteran Dave Strasser. He excels at the ground game and often submits his opponents on the mat. Alessio Sakara, (13-3-10 KOs) 6’0”/205 lbs. fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is an Italian boxer with a recent IBF junior world championship title. Training extensively in wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he is now a well- rounded, respected MMA fighter. Both fighters are new to the UFC and are looking to make a sensational debut Oct. 7.
Note: Evan Tanner vs. David Loiseau is now the main event fight for Ultimate Fight Night live in Las Vegas from the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Monday, Oct. 3, 2005. Spike TV will telecast Ultimate Fight Night live nationally starting at 9:00 pm ET/PT.
