Total Combat
Fighters that you see
on pay-per-view
and cable television began
with Total Combat

December 15, 2007
The 4th and B
San Diego, California
Total Combat, the most action
packed mixed martial arts event in Southern California brings you some of
the most well matched fights
in the nation. However, did you know that many of the fighters that you
see on
pay-per-view and cable
television began their careers as part of the Total Combat familia!
Kendall Grove, the winner of
the Ultimate Fighter reality show fought in Total Combats 6, 7 & 8. In
Total
Combat 8 he became Total
Combat's 185 pound champion!
Eddie Sanchez began his
fighting career in Total Combat 7. We were still having events in Mexico
at the
time. It was clear early on
that Eddie was as tough as they get. No matter what was thrown at him he
would
still be standing at the end
of the bout. By Total Combat 13 Eddie had found North County Fight Club,
and
his skills increased to match
his toughness. Now Eddie is competing in the UFC and heavyweights world
wide are hoping to duck his
devastating right hand!
Troy "Rude Boy" Mandaloniz was
victorious in one of Total Combat's most spectacular fights. Troy and San
Diego fighter Matt Tiara went
back and forth in a bloody three round clash in Total Combat 8. Troy has
always shown grit and
determination which he carried over to the latest season of The Ultimate
Fighter where
he KO'ed his first opponent
and then claimed victory by knock out again during the TUF finale show.
Cub Swanson, the Jiu-jitsu
wizard, fought in Total Combats 4,6,7 & 13. Cub was always known for his
playful
demeanor outside of the cage
and his dominating ground game during the fight. Cub will be facing off
against
UFC legend Jens "Little Evil"
Pulver in the WEC on 12/12/2007. Pulver had better not overlook Cub or he
will
be added to list of Swanson
victims.
War Machine Jon Koppenhaver
competed in Total Combats 2,4,9 &16. Jon has always been somewhat of an
internet legend, but since his
victory over fellow Total Combat alumnus, Jared Rollins in the Ultimate
Fighter
Finale show, Jon's stock has
skyrocketed. Much of the fight world called it the fight of the year! Many
fans
now know what Total Combat
faithful already knew. These two guys have elite potential.
Thierry Sokoudjou, now
training with Team Quest, had always been a fixture around the San Diego
martial
arts scene. After claiming
victory in Total Combat 15 Thierry shocked the world not once but twice as
the
judo practitioner KO'ed
Brazillian Top Team members, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Ricardo Arona in
PRIDE. Now The African
Assassin looks to continue his conquests in the UFC.
Former Total Combat 155 pound
champion, Dominik Cruz has only lost to Uriah Faber, who many consider
to be the best in the world at
his weight. Now dropping to a more natural weight of 135 pounds, Cruz
looks to
take a WEC title for himself.
Don't bet against this kid. He has all the tools to make very bad things
happen
to very tough people.
Total Combat's own "human
highlite reel" Ed "9mm" Ratcliff is still undefeated and has already won
in the
WEC. He retains his perfect
record as he KO Alex Karalexis at the WEC Dec 12th, 2007.
Another former Total Combat
fighter who has made it into the WEC is San Diego's own Gary Padilla. Gary
is a strong wrestler who has
improved his striking ten fold. Look for him to compete in February of
2008.
Other Total Combat fighters
who have made it to the big time include, Wade Shipp (UFC), Robert Emerson
(UFC), Hermes Franca (UFC),
Justin Levens (UFC, IFL), Adam Lynn (IFL) and Art Santore (WFA, WEC).
The great thing about Total
Combat events is that you can still see these fighters hanging out with
the fans
and frequenting our after
parties. Because once you down with TC, you're family!
Bring your Camera's to Toal
Combat 25 Dec 15th,2007 because you will SEE these fighters there and more
famous faces!!!!
