The King Birthday Glorious Celebration Muaythai - Boxing Festival will be fascinating this year, as it has

been in past years - the organizers dedicated this event for His Majesty the King's 79th anniversary and the

Sixtieth Anniversary Celebration of Accession to the Thorne.  The festival will happen on December 4-5,

2006 at the Royal Ground that honored the The Privy Councilor, Gen. Pichit Kulavanich as the event

president.  People around the world will be urged to light a candle to pay the highest blessing homage

altogether.  Gen. Chetha Thanajaro, World Muaythai Council president and the popular boxing promoter,

Great SongMr. Songchai  Ratanasuban stated that this event is the first time that will have Muaythai,

world boxing and women boxing competitions and will be immortalized as a golden moment and

legend. Broadcasted by Channel 3 and UBC Cable TV.

Gen. Pichit  Kulavanich,  Gen. Chetha  Thanajaro , World Muaythai Council President Dr. Jarint 

Suankaew, The 5th December the Great Foundation Chairman and Mr. Songchai  Ratanasuban, The

Boxing President of The 5th December the Great Foundation announced altogether about Superior the King

Birthday Glorious Celebration Muaythai – Boxing Festival that will be arranged annually for the 13th time

this year, will happen on the Royal Ground on December 4-5 (2006).  The event president said that

this festival's purposes is to publicize this kind of national martial art to the world and to celebrate the His

Majesty the King 79th anniversary and Sixtieth Anniversary of his throne.  Accordingly, this year should be

more marvelous than all other years. 

 

     

 

The Privy Councilor, Gen.Pichit  Kulavanich said more that the corporations of this festival are combined

from many concern parties such as government and non-government firms - including relevant associations. 

The predicted interest in this festival should be more than 10 million people - either the participants at the

Royal Ground or viewing the broadcast at their residents both in Thailand and overseas.  He urges every

boxing fan, both domestic and foreign countries, to light a candle for the highest blessing homage to the His

Majesty the King at 19:19 - 20:15 Hrs on the 5th of December, 2006.

 

   

 

In the same time Gen. Chetha  Thanajaro, World Muaythai Council President said that this is the first time

in the history of the event that the event will combine Muaythai, World boxing championship and women

boxing competitions.  He expected that both Thai and foreign boxing fans will join this festival - both the

hundred thousands at the Royal Ground and the more than 10 million audiences that will see the event from

broadcasting on TV.  

 

 

Mr. Songchai  Ratanasuban stated that he wants all Thai citizens and foreign folks to be a part of this

legendary memory - And this is a one time chance to pay the highest blessing homage to the beloved King

for the 79th anniversary and golden jubilee.

 

The competition itinerary was arranged as follows:

December 4

- 1st Phase (16:00 – 20:30 Hrs) as Muaythai competitions by Thai boxers fight with foreign

  boxers (Both male and female) for 9 bouts. 

 

- 2nd Phase (20:00 – 23:00 Hrs) Miss  Muaythai beauty contest and women Muaythai bouts broadcasted by

  UBC Cable TV (channel 36). 

 

- 3rd Phase (23:00 – 02.00 Hrs.) 72 KGS Muaythai knockout tournament challenge WMC title (4

  contenders) with 2 women Muaythai bouts and round girls contest.

 

December 5

- 1st Phase (14:30 – 16:30 Hrs) M-150 OneSongchai world boxing championship broadcasted by

  Channel  3. 

 

- 2nd Phase (17:30 – 19:00 Hrs) WMC 3 foreigner Muaythai bouts and Paying highness blessing homage

  candle lighting to His Majesty the King on 19:19 – 20:15 Hrs. 

 

- 3rd Phase (20:15 – 2300 Hrs) - 6 bouts of Muaythai from S1 Onesongchai broadcasted by UBC Cable TV

  (channel 36) including to Mae Mai Muaythai perform. There will be Miss Round girls and Mr. Round boys

  contest.

 

- 4th Phase (23:00 – 02:00 Hrs) WMC S-1 95 KGS Muaythai tournament by 8 foreign boxers for challenge

  the King given trophy.
