IBF \ IBO Flyweight Title Bout

Nonito Donaire (19-1, 12 KOs) wins by TKO at 1:16 of the 8th rd over Luis Maldonado (37-2-1, 28 KOs)

At the end of the seventh round, Maldonado downed with a looping left hook. Donaire retains titles.

WBC Super Welterweight Title Bout

Vernon Forrest (40-2, 29 KOs) wins by TKO at 2:21 of the 11th rd over Michele Piccirillo (48-4, 30 KOs)

At the end of the sixth round, Piccirillo downed with a right hook (behind the head) - Piccirillo immediately

indicting that it was a punch behind the head but the ref counted it as a knock down. In the ninth round,

Piccirillo downed with an overhand right. In the 11th round, Piccirillo downed with a right (fell backwards

awkwardly on his right ankle) - the ref quickly jumped in and stopped the bout - Piccirillo looked to be in

some pain (couldn't put any pressure on the foot) - possible broken ankle according to the ringside doctor.

Forrest retains title.

IBO Light Heavyweight Title Bout

Antonio Tarver (26-4, 19 KOs) wins by TKO at 2:53 of the 4th rd over Danny Santiago (29-4-1, 19 KOs)

In the fourth round, Santiago downed with a right uppercut followed up with a few punches (up by the count of

six) - the fight continued and Santiago was put to his knees with a few rights and the ref stepped in and

stopped the bout. Tarver retains title.
