SHI KON Fight Night

in Villingen (Germany). The fight card of this event features 10 Thaiboxing matches and is highlighted by a World Title Fight in MMA between German Top Team's (www.german-top-team.com) Peter "Yamatodamashii" Angerer (10-10) and Brazil's Willamy "Chiquerim" Freire (11-4).
Angerer, who became the Champion in 2002, when he beat Kenichi Sato (Japan) by a split decision, lost the title only one year later to no other than travel-happy UFC veteran Shonie "Mr. International" Carter (USA). When Carter changed the weight division in 2004 the title became vacant. In May 2005 the title was once again fought out between Angerer and the reigning Shidokan Karate World Champion Massimiliano Constanzi (Italy). In only 26 seconds Angerer took the Italian to the ground where he furiously punched him into a submission from the back to conquer the title once again. Since then, the now 38 year old German was busy by fighting several times in Cagewarriors events (UK/www.cagewarriors.com) and in the Ultimate Warrior Challenge 3 (Southend/England) in a welterweight tournament for the UWC title, where he lost to Brazil's Fabricio Nascimento by submission in round 1.
Freire, on the other side, is almost 20 years younger than the champion at a age of only 19 years. But the young Brazilian showed his tremendous skills last year at the "Ultimate Grappling Challenge" (www.ultimate-grappling-challenge.com), where he became the runner-up in the Advanced Division in Europe's toughest and hardest Grappling competition. This February "Chiquerim" conquered the Champion title at the RINOS Vale Tudo Championship in Brazil and is eager to add another belt to his record. The Brazilian powerhouse will do his best to submit Angerer early in this fight with his outstanding grappling skills.
This Title match in SHIDO MMA (World Karate Association - The Shidokan) has all what fight fans look for: a seasoned veteran and champion against a hungry and reckless youngster.
