ROF ATHLETES KEEPING BUSY...

The month of June will be a very busy month for ROF veterans. From 135lbs to 185lbs the ROF talent base

will be well represented.

 

"CHILO" Gonzalez

Closing out the Month of May, ROF Middleweight Isidro "CHILO" Gonzalez starts them

off by making his debut appearance on BELLATOR FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS.

 

"Chilo" will be facing the Canadian fighter Nick Ring. Ring is a Muay Thai specialist

who also was a finalist in the 2005 PRIDE FC open trails. The fight will be broadcast

on ESPN-Desportes on Saturday, May 30th.

Tyler THUNDER Toner

THUNDER heads to Japan!!

 

The Ring of Fire Young Guns 145 lbs champion, Tyler THUNDER Toner, is just the

latest in of a growing list of MMA fighters to try ShootBoxing.

 

Other MMA fighters who have tried ShootBoxing include Rumina Sato, MIKU, Antonio

Carvalho and Luiz Azeredo, to name a few.

 

Toner will face the very experienced Kenichi Ogata in his debut. The fight will be at 71 Kilograms, or 156 lbs.

Toner will travel to Japan with his striking coach Duane BANG Ludwig.

Pete SECRET WEAPON Spratt

Seven time UFC veteran Pete THE SECRET WEAPON Spratt returns to action on

Thursday June 11th at STEELE CAGE MMA.

 

Spratt is excited about fighting on this promotion as it only about 40 minutes from his

home town and he expects a huge local following in the audience that night. The card

also features TUF/UFC veteran Dan Christison and Bellator FC's Tyler East.

 

Special guests include Paul THE HEADHUNTER Buentello, and NFL Hall Of Famer Randy White.

Noah RED THOMAS

"The Ultimate Fighter 5" competitor Noah Thomas (13-4) has signed with the WEC

and will make his debut for the promotion on June 7 in Sacramento, California.

Thomas, who appeared on the Spike TV show as a lightweight, is currently a

 bantamweight.

 

He'll take on Frank Gomez (6-1) in place of the injured Eddie Wineland.

 

Thomas is riding a seven-fight win streak where he has submitted six opponents and knocked out one. In his

last two fights, Thomas captured the TKO and Ring of Fire bantamweight titles.

Duane BANG Ludwig

A welterweight match-up between Lyle "Fancy Pants" Beerbohm and Duane "Bang"

Ludwig is set for the second installment of Strikeforce Challenger Series June 19 in

Kent, Wash.

 

The undefeated Beerbohm last fought in January, where he racked up his tenth victory

in a TKO victory over Jorge Sarat. He trains out of Sik Jitsu in Spokane, Wash., and

is a Strikeforce veteran.


Ludwig, a Strikeforce regular, last appeared for the promotion in November, where he decisioned the always

tough Yves Edwards. It was his second consecutive win since a cut forced the stoppage of a showdown with

Takanori Gomi at Sengoku's inaugural show. He is 18-8 as a professional.
