Chonlatarn faces Yoddamrong! By Damrong Simakajornboon
Onesongchai Boxing Promotion has announced a big boxing event on September 25 in the City Hall of Nakornpathom Province, Thailand. The main event will be a ten-round elimination bout between WBC #11 feather Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo (15-0, 7 KOs) and IBF #12 Yoddamrong Sithyodthong (45-4-1, 20 KOs).
Chontarn, 21 years old, is now the ABCO featherweight boss who has successfully kept his crown ten times since July 9, 2004. But this will be the first time he faces a top fifteen world-rated fighter.
Yoddamrong, 29 years old, is the former WBA superbantam title holder who captured this WBA belt by defeating Venezuelan Yober Otega but he rapidly lost his crown to Japanese Osamu Sato in his first defense in 2002.
In another bout, WBC #21 lightweight Saddam Kietyongyuth (10-0, 7 KOs) will defend his Asian Boxing Council (ABCO) 135 lb. title against ABCO #11 and PBF champion Arniel Tinampay (reportedly 10-5-1, 2 KOs). WBC #33 and WBC youth 118 lb. champion Pungluang Sor Singyu (11-0, 8 KOs) will face Deeden Sithsaithong. And RDN #3 bantam Thiti Sithkosol will face LPN #6 Yodpetch Sor Sakulphan in a six round non-title bout.
This event will be promoted by female promoter Pariyakorn Ratanasuban, the youngest daughter of famous promoter Songchai Ratanasuban.
