WBC - Fatal Femmes Fighting - Nam Pham -

New MMA Orgs. - Warriors Realm - WEC

 

- Boxing: Maskaev - Peter at MSG on Feb. 2, 2008

  The president of the WBC, José Sulaimán, announced last week that the fight for the undisputed WBC

  heavyweight world championship between the world champion Oleg Maskaev and the interim world

  champion Samuel Peter, will be held at the Madison Saquare Garden of New York on February 2nd, 2008

  as per the official statement by Don King Productions.

 

  The promotion rights for this fight was won by Don king Productions, with an offer of $3,107,000.00 dollars

  of which 55% will be for Maskaev and 45% for Samuel Peter.

 

  This title bout had been scheduled for October 6th, at the Madison Square Garden, but it was postponed

  due to Oleg Maskaev´s injury, who had been inactive during the prior 10 months. The WBC elected

  Samuel Peter as interim champion, after his two victories over James Toney in final eliminations bouts and

  defended his title on a decision victory over Jameel McCline, who had been approved as a voluntary

  challenger to save the date an unfreeze the title.

 

  The winner and undisputed WBC heavyweight champion must defend next against the WBC Emeritus

  Champion Vitali Klitschko, which shall be ratified at the 45th Convention to be held in Manila Philippines

  from November 11th o the 17th coming, concluded the President José Sulaimán. - Press Release issued

- Fatal Femmes Fighting (MMA Event)

  The next Fatal Femmes Fighting event is scheduled for November 3rd (2007) at the Ontario Convention

  Center in Ontario, California. The main event for the night will feature a world lightweight title bout between

- New MMA Organizations (WVR, M-1 Global)

  Last week, World Victory Road in Japan announced the formation of a new mixed martial arts organization

  that is yet to be named - Their hope is to fill the void the PRIDE FC left.

 

  Yesterday (Monday), Sibling Entertainment Group Holding Inc. announced that Sibling Theatricals Inc. (a

  subsidiary of Sibling Entertainment Group Inc.) along with Garlin Holdings Limited have formed Sibling

  Sports, LLC which will create a new mixed martial arts organization called M-1 Global. The new

  organization has signed PRIDE Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko to a two year, six fight

  deal with an extension option. Also, promoter & manager extraordinaire Monte Cox has been named
