PRIDE Fighting Special on FSN

PRIDE announced that they will be showing three PRIDE Bushido bouts from their April 2nd card on Fox

Sports Net on April 9th (2006). The PRIDE Fighting Special will showcase three bouts - Phil Baroni vs.

Yuki Kondo, Dennis Kang vs. Mark Weir and the third bout will be announced on April 2nd. Scheduled

start time for the special is 9pm local time but check your local listings to verify the time in your area.

James Toney vs. The Winner of Rahman - Maskaev

The World Boxing Council has decided by majority voting, to confirm Oleg Maskaev as the official WBC

challenger to fight next against world WBC heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman.

Both boxers must agree that the winner of the fight Rahman vs. Maskaev should fight next against James

Toney, as previously voted by the WBC Board of Governors.

The free negotiations period for the mandatory title defense by Rahman against Maskaev starts today, and if

no agreement is reached, the corresponding purse offer will be held on May 1, 2006 at the WBC Executive

Office in Mexico City.
