Boxing: Pacquiao, Holyfield, Toney

Manny Pacquiao (42-3-2, 33 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Oscar Larios (56-5-1, 36 KOs) this

past Sunday (7/2/06) to retain his WBC International Super Featherweight Title at the Araneta Coliseum in

Quezon City, Philippines. Judges scored the bout 117-110, 118-108, 120-106. Pacquiao will now face Erik

Morales (48-4, 34 KOs) for the third time (each has won a fight) on November 18th (2006) at the Thomas

and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

 

Boxing

Former cruiserweight \ heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield (38-8-2, 25 KOs) will be back in action at

age 43 on August 19th (2006) against Jeremy Bates (21-11-1, 18 KOs) in a 10 round bout at the American

Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Showtime announced James Toney (69-4-2, 1 NC, 43 KOs), currently ranked the # 2 heavyweight by the

WBC, will face the undefeated WBC # 3 contender Samuel Peter (24-0, 21 KOs) in a WBC heavyweight

title eliminator bout on September 2nd (2006) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The bout will
