History is Made at Caged Fury 4
02/18/06 (Cleveland, OH) - Very few times does the payoff actually live up to the hype, but Caged Fury 4 not only lived up to the hype, it may have surpassed it. Fans piled into the sold out Gray's Armory in downtown Cleveland for another amazing night of MMA action.
In the main event of the night, 2006 Fighter of the Year & 2006 NAAFS National Amateur Welterweight Champion "Smokin" Joe Heiland (10-0) remained undefeated, talking care of David Sluss (5-5) with a TKO victory in the first round.
In the co-main event, the entire NAAFS Pro Series Lightweight division was turned completely upside down. In a non-title fight, Nick Sorg (6-4) defeated reigning champion Torrance "The Tyrant" Taylor (6-4) by KO at just :29 of Round 1. As a result, Sorg not only made a huge statement, but also put himself into the position as a top contender for the Pro Series Lightweight Title
In Heavyweight action, Justin Black (6-1) defeated Dominic "The Punisher" Qurazzo (4-2) by Guillotine Choke in Rd 3. This win puts Black back amongst the names in contention for the NAAFS Pro Series Heavyweight Title.
2007 NAAFS National Amateur Featherweight Champion Cody "The Wolverine" Stevens (10-1) made a successful pro debut at Caged Fury, defeating Jeremy Ashley by Triangle Choke in the third round in a fight that many fans called the fight of the night.
In another Pro Series Featherweight bout, Arman Loktev (4-2) made short work of Dustin "The Beast" Neace (21-11-1) by scoring a 1st Round TKO victory.

Midwest Combat Challenge 4 Tickets On Sale Now
The NAAFS returns to Chapparell's Community Center in Akron, OH for another stellar night of National Amatuer Series MMA action. Headlining this taped for TV event will be 2007 NAAFS National Amateur Middleweight Champion Nick "The Savage" Duell (8-2-1), as he takes on Team Bloody Buddy's Mickey Hughes (3-1) in a collosal Middleweight showdown. In the Co-Main Event, Team Playland's Dan "The Daredevil" Jones (4-0) puts his undefeated record on the line against Akron's own Jason Davis (3-0) of Pain Headquarters.
In other action, Dominic "The Ironman" McGee (2-2) will be out for family vengeance when he steps inside the cage with Joey "The Hitman" Holt, who defeated McGee's brother Tony "The Killer" Wolf at Northcoast Showdown II.
Plus the return of 2006 NAAFS National Amateur Finalist Garret Matheron (1-1) of Team Air-Gadfly, who will be stepping inside the cage with Jungle Fight Team's Sean Paul Veilleux.

NAAFS Returns to Columbus for Another "Night of Pain"
The NAAFS returns the Buckeye State capital on Friday March 28th for NAAFS Columbus Night of Pain 2! Featuring the region's top professional and amateur fighters, this is going to be a must see event.
In the main event, former Gladiator's Light Heavyweight Champion Rob "The Bull Rider" Wince of Hammer House takes cross-town rival Andrew Varney in a highly anticipated showdown.
The NAAFS will crown a Pro Series Bantamweight Champion when MMA veteran "The Pennsylvania Hitman" Dan Swift takes on Roc Castricone for the vacant title.
In Super Heavyweight action, Team Playland's Bobby Favors makes the trek down Rte. 71 to face off against Columbus' own Joey Smith in a fight that is going to rumble the very foundation of The Hoop!
In the Pro Series Heavyweight Division, two of the region's top stars will go at it as James Sendo of Bowerstock MMA takes on the unbeaten Jason Riley of Buckeye MMA in a fight that is sure to have major implications on the future of the division.
The NAAFS National Amateur Series will be on display with some high profile match-ups, including the return of "The Lumberjack" Matt Lisi to take on top ranked Matt Lust in an eagerly anticipated battle. Plus the return of 2006 NAAFS National Amateur Lightweight Champion Mike Nesto to the NAAFS cage!
