UFC Veterans Return Home at Fight Nite in the Flats V Throughout the years, Fight Nite in the Flats has showcased some of the top talent in the region, all looking to make an impact on the global stage of MMA. In honor of the 5 year anniversary of the NAAFS' showcase event, we are pleased to welcome home several of top stars to have competed at the event's past for a special meet and greet session with the NAAFS Nation.
Fans of the UFC can see Jason "Dynamite" Dent every week on Spike TV's The Ultimate Fighter, but long before he was a reality television star Dent was an institution at Fight Nite in the Flats. In fact, Jason Dent is the only competitor to have competed at all the previous Fight Nite in the Flats events, sporting an undefeated 4-0 record on the NAAFS' biggest stage. The culmination of which took place at last year's event, where he defeated Nick Sorg to capture the elusive NAAFS Pro Series Lightweight title. NAAFS Teams Up with Ohio Bike Week for Northcoast Showdown 3

Details: The NAAFS is featured as part of the 2009 Ohio Bike Week North Coast Thunder Rally with hundreds of thousands expected to attend the 10 day festival. This card will feature some of the regions premier fighters with several familiar names to NAAFS fans.
(06/02/09 - Sandusky, OH) - The NAAFS comes to Sandusky, OH for the first time ever on Friday June 12th for Northcoast Showdown 3. Held in conjunction with Ohio Bike Week, this event promises to be a night of non-stop MMA action inside the NAAFS cage, featuring the top stars of the National Amateur Series. Come join the biggest collection of motorcycle enthusiasts for a night NAAFS fights.
In the main event, Sandusky's own Bo Coleman (8-7) of Team Beatdown makes his return to the NAAFS cage against Jay Wadsworth (4-3) of Jamestown MMA. Coleman has faced some of the top competition in the sport, including Zach Moomey, Eric Noel, and Mike Nesto. Now he is looking to make history by walking victorious at the first NAAFS event held in his hometown. His opponent Jay Wadsworth is no stranger to facing tough competition himself, most recently picking up wins against Brandon Poindexter and Jason Lawrence in just a two week span! Wadsworth has set his sights on spoiling Coleman's homecoming and returning to Jamestown, NY with the all important victory.
The National Amateur Light Heavyweight division will take the forefront when Dan Spohn (7-3) of Cambridge Martial Arts makes long awaited return to the NAAFS against Team Beatdown's Josh Moore (5-3). Spohn returns to the NAAFS after nearly a three year hiatus, looking to reestablish himself in the Light Heavyweight division. Sandusky native Josh Moore has picked up wins against the likes of Justin Reigle and Nick Golembieski. At Northcoast Showdown 3, he's looking to show Dan Spohn that a new breed of fighters has arrived.
Also signed for Northcoast Showdown 3 will be the return of Dominic "The Ironman" McGhee (5-4) when he faces off against Dan Claus (5-6) of Severn's MMA. In addition, there will be a National Amateur Bantamweight fight when Chuck Sosbe (3-1) of USA Martial Arts steps inside the NAAFS cage with Andrew Jones (2-0) of Greenville, PA).
