4th Annual Rock N Rumble is Fast Approaching
The NAAFS returns to the Nautica Pavilion on Saturday August 28th with the combination of a high energy concert and the raw emotion of live MMA event with the 4th Annual Rock N Rumble. The musicians of NAAFS Fight Music will be performing live, followed by a night of incredible action inside the NAAFS cage.
Two new Pro Series champions will be crowned at the 4th Annual Rock N Rumble, in the Featherweight and Welterweight divisions respectively. The finals of the Pro Series Featherweight tournament will take place on Saturday August 28th when Donny "Eagle Eye" Walker (12-6) of Team GriffonRawl takes on 2006 National Amateur Lightweight Champion Mike Nesto (13-7) of Shrader's MMA. An interim Pro Series Welterweight Champion will also be crowned when 2007 National Amateur Middleweight Champion Nick "The Savage" Duell (15-4-1) of Strong Style Fight Team & Ohio BJJC takes on Mickey Hughes (7-4) of H2O MMA & Main Street MMA for the title.

Six Questions with Stipe Miocic
NAAFS.tv recently caught up with Pro Series Heavyweight fighter Stipe Miocic for our exclusive Six Questions Interview series:
1. What is like to be competing in front of your hometown fans again? Awesome! It's so fun fighting in front of the home crowd because I know exactly where everything is ha ha! Seriously it's great because my family, friends, and fans can come and don't have to travel far.
2. Why did you decide to become an MMA fighter? I never thought I was going to fight. I was just helping Dan "The Bull" Bobish out for one of his fights and just never left the gym. At first I didn't like the fact that I would be getting hit in the face, but after awhile it rubbed off on me ha ha.

Marissa Caldwell Talks NAAFS Eve of Destruction
Pro Fighting Fans staff writer Curt Heinrichs continues his coverage of the NAAFS and Northeast Ohio MMA as we prepare for the NAAFS to promote the first-ever all-women's MMA event on September 18, 2010 in Akron, OH. The main event for the Eve of Desctruction fight card will feature a classic Cleveland vs. Cincinnati battle as Cleveland's Jessica "Evil" Eye faces Cincinnati's Marissa "Shorty" Caldwell. Pro Fighting Fans' coverage of the September 18 Eve of Destruction event begins with an interview with Marissa Caldwell (2-1) as she prepares for the fight with Eye (1-0). Curt's interview with Caldwell is below:
CH - Women's MMA is just getting started and the average fan is just becoming familiar with some of the big-named fighters. What brought you to MMA and what made you become a fighter?
MC - I watched lots of UFC fights growing up, in the early days of the sport. I was enthralled by Royce Gracie, and how he could win several fights in one night. I heard about a combative arts club at NKU (Northern Kentucky University), which was essentially a jiu jitsu club. I took lots of buttkickings and fell in love with the sport. Eventually, I found Vision MMA and trained there for a while. Eventually, Rod Housley told me that I should start training to fight, and I began to work on my striking. I have been training MMA for about a year now and I have been doing jiu jitsu for about 4½ years now.

The NAAFS is returning to The Arena in Streetsboro, OH on Friday September 3rd for North Coast Showdown 6. The NAAFS Presents Eve of Destruction: Ohio's First Ever All Female MMA Event
The NAAFS is pleased to present Ohio's first ever all female MMA event Eve of Destruction on Saturday September 18th from Chapparell's Center in Akron, OH. This event will feature both professional and amateur fights as the women of the NAAFS take center stage for one of the most historic events to ever take place inside the NAAFS cage.
The main event at Eve of Destruction will be a professional bout in the 125 lbs division that will see Marissa "Shorty" Caldwell (4-1) of Vision MMA take on 2009 National Amateur Women's Champion Jessica "Evil" Eye (6-0) of Strong Style Fight Team. Caldwell enters this battle having won four of her last five fights and her only defeat coming at the hands of former Strikeforce #1 contender Jan Finney. Training at Vision MMA alongside names like current Interim Pro Series Lightweight Champion Daniel Straus, Caldwell is no stranger to entering enemy territory for a fight. Jessica Eye is coming off a successful pro debut at Fight Nite in the Flats VI, where she defeated Amanda LaVoy by TKO in the second round. Now Eye returns to battle, looking to pick up her second professional victory and to defend the honor of her hometown crowd. Will it be a successful homecoming for the Strong Style standout or business as usual for Vision MMA's rising female star?
