Muay Thai Argentina Calendar and Latest News
- June 6: Dida Diafat in Argentina Saturday, June 6 at the MTA downtown headquarters, 11 time world champion, Dida Diafat, star of the movie "Chok Dee", gave an international Muay Thai seminar organized by the academy MuayThai Argentina.
80 participants took part - among them were practitioners from Uruguay, Brazil, Chile and Argentina.
The seminar started with a basic introduction of combat sports in general and martial artists...and continued with advanced training. This way, everyone could share in the wisdom of the Grand Master with impeccable, pure technique of true Muay Thai.
At the end of the seminar, certificates were handed out and photos were taken.
Once again, Muay Thai Argentina (MTA) academy continually trains to improve Muay Thai every day in our country and will not stop until this is achieved to be amongst the best in the world.
On Friday the 5th, we shared an afternoon with Dida watching the movie "Chok Dee" which is based on his life in Muay Thai and stars himself in the lead role. At the conclusion, a press conference was held where Dida answered questions from journalists and practitioners of Muay Thai.

- July 4: International Muay Thai Seminar in Paraguay On Saturday, July 4th, Master Miguel Carpinacci will give a theoretical seminar covering Muay Thai. The seminar will cover basic and advanced techniques of traditional Muay Thai applied to real combat. Also, judges scoring will be covered along with the referee's job in the ring. - July 8: Master Miguel Carpinacci travels to Europe to meet Muay Thai promoters. On Saturday, July 8th, Master Miguel Carpinacci travels to Europe to meet with promoters of Muay Thai and K1. - August 8: Tournament of Muay Thai Argentina at Venado Tuerto On Saturday, August 8th, the 4th Muay Thai Argentina in-house tournament of the year will be held at the new school at Venado Tuerto, Santa Fe province. More information coming soon.
- August (date to be confirmed): Muay Thai Tournament: Argentina vs. Uruguay For the month of August, MTA will be organizing the first tournament of Muay Thai where competitors from
Uruguay and Argentina
will face off. More information coming soon. In September, the Muay Thai tournament, Sudamericano de Muay Thai No. 17 in Chile will be held by the Confederación Sudamericana de Muaythai. Delegations from Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru and Argentina will attend. Competitors will vie for South American Muay Thai titles and rankings by the Confederación Sudamericana de Muaythai. More information coming soon.
- September and October (dates to be confirmed): The Contender South America in Brazil and Argentina The best competitors in Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Argentina will participate. The 16 selected winners will live together in a house over two months with a specially equipped gym to practice Muay Thai and will be eliminated one by one until there is only one winner. The program will be televised live throughout Brazil. More information coming soon.
- November 27: World Muay Thai 2009 in Thailand On November 27th, the World of Amateur Muay Thai will be held in Bangkok, Thailand. Argentina will be present with a delegation of eight competitors among which are three South American champions. More information coming soon.

- 6 de Junio: Dida Diafat en Argentina: El sábado 6 de junio, en la sede Microcentro de MTA, el 11 veces campeón del mundo, Dida Diafat, protagonsita de la pelicula "Chok Dee", dicto un seminario internacional de Muaythai organizado por la academia Muay Thai Argentina.
Participaron 80 inscriptos entre los cuales se encontraban practicantes de Uruguay, Brasil, Chile y de Argentina.
El seminario comenzo con una introducción basica para los practicantes de deportes de combate en general y artistas marciales y continuó con entrenamiento avanzado. De esta forma todos pudieron compartir la sabiduría del Gran Maestro con impecable tecnica pura, del verdadero Muay Thai.
Al finalizar se entregaron certificados y se tomaron fotos.
Una vez mas, la academia Muay Thai Argentina ( MTA ) , continua trabajando mediante la capacitacion permamente para mejorar cada dia el muay thai en nuestro pais y no parará hasta lograr estar entre los mejores del mundo.
El viernes 5, se compartio una tarde con Dida mirando la pelicula "Chok Dee" la cual trata de su vida en el muaythai y es protagonizada por él mismo. Al finalizar se hizo una conferencia de prensa en la que Dida respondio todas las preguntas que le hicieron periodistas y practicantes de Muaythai.

- Sabado 27 de junio: Segunda clase especial del Maestro Miguel Carpinacci en la Sede Venado Tuerto, Santa Fé. El Sabado 27 de junio el maestro Miguel Carpinacci dará el segundo entrenamiento especial en la sede de Muay Thai Argentina de Venado Tuerto Santa Fé. La misma está hubicada en el Club Jorge Newbery (Calle Belgrano 235 Venado Tuerto - Santa Fe), Los esperamos !!
- 4 de Julio: Seminario Internacional de Muay Thai en Paraguay El sábado 4 de julio, el maestro Miguel Carpinacci, dictará un seminario teórico - practico de Muay Thai. En el mismo se verán técnicas básicas y avanzadas de muaythai tradicional aplicadas al combate real. Por otro lado, se trabajará en la puntualización de los jueces en las tarjetas y el trabajo del árbitro en el ring. Para mas información ingresar a www.muaythaiparaguay.com
- 8 de Julio: Viaje del maestro Miguel Carpinacci a Europa para contactarse con promotores de Muay Thai. El sabado 8 de julio, el Maestro Miguel Carpinacci viajará a Europa para reunirse con promotores de Muay Thai y K1. - 8 de agosto: Torneo interno de Muay Thai Argentina en Venado Tuerto El sabado 8 de agosto se realizará el 4to. torneo interno del año de Muay Thai Argentina y será en la nueva sede de Venado Tuerto, provincia de Santa Fé. En breve mas info.
- Agosto (fecha a confirmar): Torneo de Muay Thai Argentina vs. Uruguay Para el mes de agosto, la MTA estará organizando el primer torneo de Muaythai donde se enfrentarán competidores de Uruguay y Argentina. En breve mas info.
- Septiembre (fecha a confirmar): Sudamericano de Muaythai Nº 17 en Santiago de Chile En septiembre se realizará el torneo sudamericano Nº17 en Chile de la Confederación Sudamericana de Muaythai. Asistirán delegaciones de Chile, Brasil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Perú y Argentina. Se disputarán titulos sudamericanos de Muay Thai y las peleas serán por el ranking Sudamericano de la Confederacion. En breve mas info.
- Septiembre y Octubre (Fechas a confirmar): Eliminatorias The Contender Sudamerica en Brasil y Argentina Participarán los mejores competidores de Chile, Perú, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Costa Rica y Argentina. Los 16 ganadores seleccionados , convivirán durante 2 meses en una casa con gimnasio especialmente equipado para la practica de Muaythai y se iran eliminando hasta quedar un solo ganador. El programa será televisado en vivo para todo Brasil. En breve mas info.
- 27 de noviembre: Mundial de Muaythai 2009 en Thailandia El 27 de noviembre se realizará el Mundial de Muaythai amateur en Bongkok, Thailandia. Argentina estará presente con una delegacion de 8 competidores entre los cuales se encuentran 3 campeones sudamericanos. En breve mas info.
