To celebrate the Spring Break debuts, the Mixed Fight League wants to invite you to its second event,

MFL 2 : Battleground, on February 27^th 2010 at the Montreal’s Centre Claude-Robillard located at 1000,

Emile-Journault ave,. The MFL is extremely proud of the success of its inaugural event and hope to raise up

the bar for its second event with an event better production quality. 

"We’re particularly proud of our first event", mentioned the promoter, Dirk Waardenburg, a former MMA

fighter.   "It went so good that some TV channels such as The Fight Network and RDS already manifested

their intentions to broadcast the inaugural event soon.  However, details and dates remain to be

confirmed.".  His partner, Guy Poulin, added: "We’re more than satisfied of the results of MFL 1: The

Beginning and we are looking further to level up the production for the upcoming event.  Don’t miss it up

because we’re working hard to make this event memorable and settle up the most explosive matchups

possible for our supporting and already growing fans base". 

The main event remains to be confirmed, but the Mixed Fight League is proud to announce that the young

BTT Canada sensation, the undefeated Derek "Sex Machine" Gauthier (5-0-0) will make his second

appearance in the MFL octagon a few weeks after he has TKO’ed the American Mike Medrano on October

17^th to keep his unblemished record.  His opponent will be announced shortly. 

The 6’2", 232 lbs, Bruno "The Commando" Hosier (3-0-0), who remains undefeated, will face a UFC

veteran in Tom Murphy (5-0-0).  More confident than ever, Hosier is back from a victory over Aaron Dupuis

on October 10th.  His opponent, Murphy, submitted the experienced Jason Cecil at the last MFL event on

October 2009.  We underlined that the MFL access to the Commando’s request, as he particularly wish to

face Murphy, a challenge he absolutely wanted to raise as Murphy remains, quite as him, unconquered.

Also, the experienced Granby’s Speedy Gym fighter, Dimitri Waardenburg (3-4-0), who is back from a win

over the rising star Pierre-Étienne Marcoux at the last Mixed Fight League event, will be back in the MFL

cage to show his incredible skills.  Waardenburg, which always delivers exciting fights as he always give

explosive performances, will definitely be a great addition to the February 27^th MFL lineup.. 

Also featured on the MFL 2 : Battleground fight card, Bruno Lurette (1-0-0), Alex Garcia (1-0-0) and the

American Joey Gambino (1-0-0). 

Tickets for the MFL 2 : Battleground, which will take place on February 27th at the Complexe Sportif

Claude-Robillard, will be on sale shortly on Admission.com.
