Peter Aerts MMA Debut

Sportsnavi is reporting that three time K-1 Grand Prix champion, Peter Aerts, will make his mixed martial

arts (MMA) debut on Hero's July 6th card. No opponent has been named. According to the article, Aerts has

always had an interest in MMA and had decided to participate in MMA last year before injuring his neck.

Hero's 2 will feature the opening round of a 16-man middleweight tournament with at least eight of the

participants hailing from Japan. The quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place in early September with the

final taking place on December 31st on  K-1's New Years Eve "Dynamite" show.

- Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto

- Caol Uno

- Kazuyuki Miyata

- Royler Gracie

- Yoshihiro Akiyama
