Daniel Ponce De Leon (40-2, 33 KOs) wins by KO at 2:40, 3rd rd over Antonio Escalante (24-3, 15 KOs)

In the third round, Escalante was hurt by a straight left and put down and out with a right hook.

 

Welterweight Bout (10 Rds)

Victor Ortiz (28-2-1, 22 KOs) wins by KO at :45 of the third round over Vivian Harris (29-5-1, 19 KOs)

In the second round, Harris went down from a straight left (up right away). The fight resumed and after a brief

exchange, Harris went down again - this time from a short right (up right away). The fight resumed and Harris

would visit the canvas one more time courtesy of a right hook (no three knockdown rule). In the third round,

Harris got caught with a right hook, right uppercut combo that put him down and the ref quickly jumped in

and waved the fight over.

 

WBC Silver Super Welterweight Title Bout (10 Rds)

Saul Alvarez (34-0-1, 26 KOs) wins by KO at 2:58 of the 6th rd over Carlos Baldomir (45-13-6, 14 KOs)

In the sixth round, Baldomir went down from a left hook - tried to get up but was counted out. Alvarez retains

title.

 

154. lb Bout (12 Rds)

Shane Mosley (46-6-1, 39 KOs) and Sergio Mora (22-1-2, 6 KOs) battled to a split draw. Judges scored

the bout 115-113 Mora, 116-112 Mosley, 114-114 draw.
