Jr. Welterweight Bout (6 Rds)

Frankie Gomez (5-0, 5 KOs) wins by KO at 2:14 of the first round over Ronald Peterson (2-3, 2 KOs)

With about a minute left in the first round, Peterson downed to a knee from a right uppercut, left hook

combo and took the 10 count.

 

IBF Super Middleweight Eliminator Bout (12 Rds)

Jean Paul Mendy (29-0-1, KOs) wins by first round disqualification over Sakio Bika (28-4-1, 16 KOs)

In the first round, Mendy went down to a knee from a three punch combo and as he was on his knee, Bika

landed a right hook that put Mendy face first on the canvas - out cold.

 

WBA FEDELATIN Lightweight Title Bout (10 Rds)

Jorge Linares (29-1, 18 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Rocky Juarez (28-7-1, 20 KOs) - Judges

scored the bout 99-90, 97-92, 99-90 for Linares. Towards the end of the fifth round, Juarez downed with a

short left uppercut.

 

Jr. Welterweight Bout (10 Rds)

Robert Guerrero (27-1-1, 18 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Joel Casamayor (37-5-1, 22 KOs) -

Judges scored the bout 98-89, 98-89, 97-90 for Guerrero. In the second round, Casamayor penalized a point

for holding. The fight resumed and towards the end of the round, Casamayor went down trying to hold onto

Guerrero (looked liked a double leg take down attempt) and the ref counted it as a knockdown. In the 10th

round, Guerrero downed with a straight right jab (up at the count of six).

 

WBO Middleweight Title Bout - vacant (12 Rds)

Dmitry Pirog (17-0, 14 KOs) wins by knockout at :57 of the fifth round over Daniel Jacobs (20-1, 17 KOs)

In the fifth round, Jacobs was put flat on his back with an overhand right (and he was out) - as the ref reached

the count of five, Jacobs tried to get up but the ref placed his hand on Jacobs' chest telling him to stay down

because the fight was over.

 

WBO \ WBA Lightweight Title Bout (12 Rds)

Juan Manuel Marquez (51-5-1, 37 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Juan Diaz (35-4, 17 KOs) -

Judges scored the bout 116-112, 118-110, 117-111 for Marquez - Marquez retains titles.
