Miguel Cotto (34-1, 27 KOs) wins a split decision over Joshua Clottey (35-3, 20 KOs) - Judges scored the

bout 116-111 Cotto, 114-113 Clottey, 115-112 Cotto - Cotto retains title. At the end of the first round, Clottey

downed with a left jab (up right away). In the third round, there was an accidental head butt that caused a cut

above the left eye on Cotto. In the fifth round, it looked like Clottey was shoved (thrown) to the ground face

first in a corner (Cotto stepped on Clottey's left foot walking away) and time was called.......Clottey was down

for a while...grimacing in pain.....he eventually got up and the fight resumed......in-between rounds, Clottey

was saying his left knee was hurting. HBO commentator Harold Lederman stated that Clottey went down

because his feet slipped from underneath him due to the canvas being slippery.
