WBC Super Welterweight Title Eliminator Bout (12 Rds)

Alfredo Angulo (19-1, 16 KOs) wins by TKO at 2:59 of the first round over Joachim Alcine (32-2, 19 KOs)

With a little over a minute left in the first round, the fighters tied-up with Alcine trapping Angulo's left arm -

and for about 10 seconds, Angulo nailed Alcine with rights to the head and body until Alcine let go of his left

arm (hurting him in the process). The fighters went toe-to-toe for a bit until Angulo hurt Alcine with a right

hook. Alcine tried to tie-up but Angulo spun and continued his attack against the ropes. For the next 40

seconds, Alcine tried to fight back but eventually found himself back against the ropes where Angulo started

to pepper him with hard shots. And with less than six seconds left in the round, Angulo landed a left hook,

straight right combo that made Alcine's arms drop to his side - Angulo nailed him with three more shots

before the ref could jump in and stop the bout. Angulo becomes the WBC #1 ranked Super Welterweight.

Timothy Bradley (26-0, 11 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Luis Carlos Abregu (29-1, 23 KOs) -

Judges scored the bout 188-110, 116-112, 117-111 for Bradley.
