Towards the end of the first round, Mtagwa downed with a left hook (up right away). In the second round,

Mtagwa downed with a left, right combo....preceded by a left to the body (up at the count of six).....the fight

resumed and Gamboa swarmed Mtagwa with punches....hurting Mtagwa who was just trying to hang on but

Gamboa was finally able to send him down again and the ref stepped in and stopped the bout. Gamboa

retains title.

Juan Manuel Lopez (28-0, 25 KOs) wins by TKO at :44, 7th rd over Steve Luevano (37-2-1, 15 KOs)

In the seventh round, Luevano downed with a left, right combo...preceded by a right uppercut that hurt

Luevano - up at the count of six - the ref took a good look at Luevano and decided to stop the bout to

Luevano's protest. Lopez wins title from Luevano.
