CORAL SPRINGS, FL: On Saturday, August 8th, Grapplers Quest, “The World’s Largest Grappling

Competition” is bringing The 2009 Southeast Championships to The Coral Springs Gymnasium on 121 East

Sunset Road in Coral Springs, Florida.

 

The Best Team in the Southeast 2009 title is on the line, drawing an expected 1,000 competitors and 110

teams from the Southeastern region, especially Florida. Some of the World’s Best Grappling teams are

already entered including American Top Team, Pablo Popovitch, Gracie Barra, Royce Gracie Tampa and

Orlando, FightSports, Freestyle Fighting Academies and 110 other teams will be battling for the prestigious

Team Championship Title. 

 

Submission Grappling is the ground fighting art of Mixed Martial Arts and combines the throws of Olympic

Judo, the takedowns of Greco-Roman and or Freestyle Wrestling, Leg Locks from Russian Sambo, and

various other Submissions such as armbars and chokes from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Grapplers Quest organizes

the official National, Regional, North American and World competitions for Submission Grappling, the
