Caged Vengeance 2 Hendricks and Whitesel Defend, Dent and Swift Battle for Gladiators Fighting Titles

Sunday, September 3, 2006 (Cleveland, OH) Gladiators Fighting MMA Invades Cleveland: Gladiators Fighting Mixed Martial Arts in conjunction with PKW Live and Betonfighting.com are pleased to announce "Caged Vengeance 2" set for Saturday, October 7th, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. in the historic Gray's Armory centrally located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.
Headlining the main event is Ohio ’s Josh “Heavy” Hendricks (14-4) who will be defending his Gladiators Fighting MMA Heavyweight belt for the first time since winning the title this past June in Cleveland. His opponent is hard hitting Canadian Geza Kalman (4-2), a veteran of the IFC and Hook 'n Shoot fighting organizations. Kalman will be looking to stop a steamrolling Hendricks who is undefeated in his last seven fights.
Fresh off a big win over Kola Koka in Hawaii, hometown favorite Jason “Dynamite” Dent (19-6) will tangle with Erie, PA’s Dan “The Pennsylvania Hitman” Swift (27-19) for the vacant Gladiators Fighting MMA Lightweight title. Dent and Swift are among the most experienced and talented Lightweights in the sport today and each bring a straight forward approach to the cage which should lead to a very entertaining title fight.
After defeating UFC veteran Adrian Serrano to capture the Gladiators Fighting MMA Middleweight title this past June in Milwaukee, Mitch Whitesel (5-3) has been eagerly anticipating defending his belt in his home state of Ohio and will now get his chance against Gladiators Fighting MMA veteran Thomas “The Beast” Russell (4-3).
Russell’s confidence is at an all-time high after what many considered an upset win over Jason “Freebird” Freeman back in June of this year at "Fight Nite in the Flats 2." An athletic and explosive fighter, Russell is becoming a legitimate threat and should match up well with Whitesel who is considered one of the more well rounded Gladiators Fighting MMA Middleweights.
Also on the card and making his return to MMA will be Kickboxing champion Ryan “The Lion” Madigan (1-0) who is coming off a successful MMA debut at June's "Fight Nite in the Flats 2." A fierce striker, Madigan will collide with Canadian boxer Dave Nash (0-0) in a Welterweight Gladiators Fighting MMA battle. Nash, a veteran of 15 professional Boxing contests, will be making his Gladiators Fighting MMA debut in Cleveland while looking to establish himself in the sport with a win over Madigan.
Fan favorites Jason “Freebird” Freeman (4-1) and unbeaten Welterweight “Smokin'” Joe Heiland are also scheduled for action along with Cleveland ’s Donnie Walker (6-3) who has vaulted into the Gladiators Fighting MMA Lightweight title mix with a recent win over the previously unbeaten Jason Taylor.
