We also recently spoke with StrikeForce veteran bantamweight Anthony "Antdawg" Figueroa, who has been

rumored to be signing with Gladiator Challenge. Here are a few questions from the interview:

- Any fights on the horizon?

Nothing on the books right now, but I know there are some StrikeForce events coming up, and I’ve just

started talking with Tedd Williams about fighting for Gladiator Challenge. Looking to have a really good year

  in 2010.

- What is your best weapon as a fighter?

I believe my speed, my hands, and my San Shou [kickboxing]. I feel like I have good vision, and I can be

very elusive. I’m a striker, and I like to stand up.

- We’re hearing that you may be fighting in Gladiator Challenge soon…any truth to that?

Like I said, Tedd and I just started discussing this, but I sure hope we can work something out that will

  bring me to the promotion.

- We’ve also heard that you may fight Gladiator Challenge Bantamweight Champion David

Espinosa…do you know anything about him?

I actually fought him before in another promotion for a belt. About two minutes in, I posted my arm on the

mat and cracked a bone. It basically ended right there. He jumped on my back, got the choke. I don’t want

to take anything away from him, but I would definitely love to get back in there with him and do it again.

Regardless, I haven’t fought in almost a year, so I’m looking to get back in there.

- If that fight happens, how would you see it going?

He’s good, he’s fast, but I didn’t feel threatened. I think this time we’ll really get to fight. Whether it ends in

the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd…I’m going to go in there to fight to win. But it doesn’t matter if it’s David or someone

else…I’m ready. I’d like to get my feet wet again, but whoever it is, I’m down for it.
