This past weekend, Tedd Williams’ Gladiator Challenge and Soboba

Casino teamed up to put on a star-studded event as “Bad Behavior” took

Southern California by storm. MMA luminaries such as former PRIDE

champion and current Strikeforce star Dan Henderson, UFC Light

Heavyweight Champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, UFC stalwart Brandon

Vera, and current UFC fighter and former GC competitor Joe "Daddy"

Stevenson were on hand to watch a full night of hot fight action.

What an event it was! The night’s fastest KO came from the hands of none other than Keith “KO Kid” Berry,

who matched the quickest KO of his career with a second finish of Sam Salas. Interestingly, Berry's

manager called Gladiator Challenge matchmakers the day after the show and stated that Keith wants Jeff

Morris, the GC Middleweight Champion. “Tell us what we need to make it happen…we will fight him in his

backyard, if we have to,” was the request of Berry’s manager. This would be a great fight for GC fans…both

fighters love to stand and bang, and a KO is almost surely to be the result of the fight. Hopefully it will come

together!

The fight of the night was certainly the tilt between George Sanchez and Junior Kling, who battled for the

GC Interim Lightweight belt. This scrap went back-and-forth, and it was up to the judges. In the end, it was

Kling getting the nod and the title. This fight was fought at a very fast pace, with both guys landing some

nice shots. Both athletes showed why they deserved a shot at the title. One fan mentioned he would love to

see Junior Kling take on the lightweight kingpin Josh Thornburg, a Gracie fighter out of Lodi, California who

trains under Nick and Nate Diaz. Josh just won the title by knocking out his opponent back on May 1st.

When Josh was presented with the idea of taking on Kling, he replied, “I would love to fight that guy. This is

my belt, and I will fight him in his backyard if I have to. Let’s do this in August.”

Sean “The Destroyer” Loeffler made a promise in his pre-match interview to, well, destroy his opponent,

Brandon Ellison, at “Bad Behavior.” It didn’t take long to see that “The Destroyer” was serious. In under

twenty seconds, Loeffler put Ellison down with a stiff right hand and finished him off with an armbar. Look

out for Loeffler, as he is pumped and ready to climb the ladder to the top of the sport. Another star climbing

the ladder is the son of GC owner Tedd Williams, Teddy. Teddy (pictured above) added another big win to

his resume, finishing off Matt Anderson with a third round submission. Big things are in store for both

Loeffler and Williams.
