Fighting Arts News Seni flexes its muscles with a ‘Show of Strength’! 29 & 30 May 2010, Excel London
This year the Seni audience can expect an additional suprise as the worlds leading martial arts expo brings new and unique event to the show. Show of strength will showcase the very best in strength sports and extreme fitness by combining the greatest of all strength sports brands with some of the most exclusive and fantastic spectacles to hit the UK. With a main stage integrated into a cutting edge expo that showcases some of the best names in fitness, nutrition and weight training, stand by to witness London’s show of strength.
The Worlds Strongest Man! Headlining the first show of strength is the worlds leading and most renowned strength sports brand The World Strongest Man. An international television favourite, the live World’s Strongest Man experience will give people the opportunity to interact with the giants of the sport as they take part in head 2 head matching competitors one on one in some of the TV favourite disciplines such as Farmers walk, the Car lift and of course the infamous Atlas stones. There are plenty of strongman events across the world but there’s only one World Strongest Man event and that’s bulging its biceps in London at the Show of strength! Given the unique nature of the event you can be sure to see your favourite WSM stars in action including the newly crowned 2009 Worlds Strongest Man champion, Zydrunas Savickas from Lithuania.
BarTendaz NYC Bartendaz are the Urban kings of the strength arena and these New York City street athletes are flying in to show every gymnast, martial artist and bodybuilder out there just what natural body power is all about. Seeing truly is believing with these YouTube sensations who will perform, teach and interact with the Show of strength crowd in their infamous hip hop manner.
World Record Lifting! The World Endurance Lifting Championships, which stars the runner up of BBC’s popular series ‘Last Man Standing’, Rajko Radovic, is set to lead the way in team events with a dumbbell lifting extravaganza. Teams from across Europe will enter the gruelling team Dragan Challenge made famous in the UK by Seni expo over the last 10 years.
This will be supplemented by a record attempt by the UKs leading Strongman Mark Felix who will aim to beat the one arm deadlift world record!
Shirts Off Interaction is the name of the game at show of strength with a number of fantastic events that allow the show public, to flex their muscles too and these include ‘Shirts Off’, managed by the British Natural Bodybuilding Federation. This fun initiative tempts the best bodies from across the fighting arts world to strip off and flex in front of an enthused crowd
Arm Wars gets Eurosport second TV series! Fighters Inc’s highly successful TV production International Armwrestling, has been given a renewed contract by Eurosport. The show screens the worlds leading arm wrestling promotion Arm Wars features athletes from across the globe such as US giants Monster Michael Todd and the world’s greatest armwrestler of all time John Brzenk.
Series one is currently screening prime time at 8pm CET across the Eurosport network in some 60 countries which includes most of Europe, South America and Asia.
Series II will start with “The Gathering” an elite heavyweight battleground tournament featuring 8 of the current worlds greatest arm wrestlers. The Gathering will be held, where else but, at London's Show of Strength on May 29 & 30, Excel London which alongside The Worlds Strongest Man experience should make an explosive event.
FAME competition announces modelling contract A regular event at the Seni show, FAME will take centre stage at Show of Strength alongside The Worlds Strongest Man experience and Arm Wars. FAME has a number of classes to suit athletes who have never stepped on stage through to the experienced Bodybuilder.
Some of the prizes include: - A modeling contracts with top London fitness model agency WAthletic Models (contracts are open to all athletes not just winners). - Qualification to compete at the 2010 FAME World Championships in! One big bank holiday weekend! All things combat and fighting arts, Seni held its 10th show in 2008 at Excel and is still the worlds largest and original expo dedicated to all things combat!
