Lightweight Bout (8 Rds)

Johnnie Edwards (14-2-1, 8KOs) wins by KO at 2:51 of the 7th rd over Freddie Norwood (42-3-1, 23KOs)

In the third round, Norwood downed with a left (up right away). In the seventh round, Norwood downed with

another left and went down face first - Norwood got to a knee at the count of eight but was off balance and

went down again and missed getting up at the count of 10.

Cruiserweight Bout (6 Rds)

Arthur Williams (44-15-1, 30 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Clarence Moore (5-4-1, 5 KOs) -

Judges scored the bout 60-52, 60-52, 60-52 for Williams. In the second round, Moore downed with a right

(up at the count of four) - the fight resumed and Moore then got a standing eight count at the end of the

round when he fell into the ropes after being peppered by numerous punches.

Lightweight Bout (10 Rds)

Edner Cherry (24-5-2, 12 KOs) wins by KO at 2:34 of the 10th rd over Stevie Johnston (41-6-1, 18 KOs)

In the third round, Johnston stunned by a right and in trying to avoid the follow-up, went down (counted as

a knockdown - up right away). In the 9th round, Johnston downed with a series of punches ending with a

right (up at the count of five). In the 10th round, Johnston downed with a straight right - Johnston went down

hard on his back and banged his head on the mat - the ref immediately stopped the bout.
