Vitali Klitschko (37-2, 36 KOs) wins by TKO at 1:49 of the 9th rd over Juan Carlos Gomez (45-2, 35 KOs)

In the seventh round, Gomez downed to a knee from a right (up right away). Early in the ninth round,

Klitschko penalized a point for an intentional head butt. The fight resumed and quickly Klitschko went to

work and downed Gomez with a right (up at the count of five). The fight resumed and after a brief exchange,

Klitschko upped the pressure on Gomez who finally turned his back against the ropes and the ref stepped in

and stopped the bout.
