At the beginning of the eighth round, Peterson stunned Brown with a combo, then a flurry of punches and the

ref had seen enough punishment absorbed by Brown and stopped the bout - Brown took the fight on a few

days notice.

NABO Lightweight Title Bout

Anthony Peterson (23-0,16KOs) wins by TKO at 1:36 of the 9th rd over Luis Ernesto Jose (27-4-2,21KOs)

In the ninth round, Peterson landed a left to the body and a straight right to the head the hurt Jose - and as

Peterson followed up with a short uppercut, Jose's corner man stepped on to the canvas and motioned to the

ref to stop the bout as Jose went to a knee. Peterson retains title.
