Welterweight Bout (10 Rds)

Said Ouali (21-2, 13 KOs) wins by TKO at 1:44 of the second round over Irving Garcia (14-3-1, 7 KOs)

Garcia downed with about 2:00 left in the second round after being hurt by a left, right combination followed

up by a flurry of punches with a left uppercut doing the most damage (Garcia up at the count of five) - The

fight continued and Garcia landed an accidental low blow that looked like it hit the inside right thigh of Ouali -

The ref jumped in quickly to separate the fighters to warn Garcia to keep his punches up, and as the ref

broke them apart, Garcia threw a slow left hook that caught the ref on the jaw but did not phase him

a bit - the ref preceded to warn Garcia to keep his punches up. Ouali then when on the attack and landed a

straight left that sent Garcia down again - As Garcia tried to get up and stumbled back onto the ropes, the

ref had seen enough and stopped the bout.

 

Jr. Welterweight Bout (4 Rds)

Ray Robinson (2-0) wins a unanimous decision over Daniel Sostre (2-3) - Judges scored the bout 40-35,

40-35, 40-35 for Robinson - Sostre downed in the fourth with a straight left (Sostre got up right away).

 

USBA Welterweight Title Bout (12 Rds)

Jesse Feliciano (15-5-3, 9 KOs) wins by TKO at 2:42 of the 8th rd over Delvin Rodriguez (20-2-1, 12 KOs)

- Rodriquez was hurt in the eighth round from a from a barrage of punches with a left hook finally putting him

on the canvas (Rodriquez struggled to get up at the count of five) - Feliciano then jumped on Rodriquez and

put him down again with a right (Rodriquez up at the count of five) - The fight continued with less than 30

seconds left in the round and Feliciano landed a left hook that sent Rodriquez down for a third time and the

ref had seen enough and stopped the bout - Feliciano wins title.

 

Heavyweight Bout (4 Rds)

Tony Grano (8-0-1, 7 KOs) wins by TKO at 2:25 of the first round over John Turlington (5-11-1, 4 KOs)

Turlington hurt with a flurry of punches in the first round and went down from a right hook (up at the count of

three) - The fight continued and Grano went on the offensive and peppered Turlington on the ropes until the

ref had seen enough and stopped the bout.
