Chris Avalos (5-0, 4 KOs) wins by TKO at 1:25 of the first round over Cristian Cruz (2-1, 2 KOs)

In the first round, Cruz took a knee after receiving numerous punches - got up at the count of eight and when

the ref asked if he wanted to continue, he didn't respond so the ref stopped the bout.

Welterweight Bout (8 Rds)

Antwone Smith (12-1-1, 8KOs) wins by TKO at 2:59 of the 4th rd over Juan Camilo Novoa (13-2, 11KOs)

In the fourth round, Novoa was hurt and on weary legs and was trying to survive the round - and with about 5

seconds left in the round, he got tagged with a straight right that sent him into the ropes and onto the canvas

with the ref waving the fight over.

Super Middleweight Bout (6 Rds)

Julio Garcia (41-3, 34 KOs) wins by knockout at :13 of the 1st round over Jose Medina (14-12, 10 KOs)

As the first round started, Garcia threw a jab...circled a bit and then landed a left hook that sent Median

down and out.

Lightweight Bout (10 Rds)

Breidis Prescott (19-0, 17 KOs) wins a split decision over Richard Abril (10-1-1, 9 KOs) - Judges scored

the bout 95-94 Prescott, 95-94 Abril, 97-92 Prescott. In the eighth round, Prescott penalized a point for low

blows.
