Jr. Lightweight Bout (6 Rds)

Carlos Velasquez (11-0, 9 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Juan Nazario (6-2-1, 4 KOs) - Judges

scored the bout 60-53, 60-53, 60-53 for Velasquez. In the fifth round, Nazario penalized a point for excessive

holding.

Jr. Featherweight Bout (6 Rds)

Jose Beranza (32-15-2, 25 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Juan Velasquez (9-1, 5 KOs) - Judges

scored the bout 58-54, 58-54 57-55 for Beranza. In the third round, Velasquez was given a standing eight

count after his knees buckled taking a step back and his right glove touched the canvas. The fight resumed

and shortly thereafter, Velaquez was downed with a left uppercut (up right away).

Featherweight Bout (10 Rds)

Antonio Escalante (21-2, 13 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Cornelius Lock (18-4-1, 11 KOs) -

Judges scored the bout 100-88, 100-88, 98-90 for Escalante. In the third round, Lock downed with a right to

the body (up before the ref picked up the count).....the fight resumed and after a few exchanges, Lock went

down from an accumulation of punches (eight unanswered punches) - up at the count of five....after the ref

finished the eight count and the fight was about to resume, the bell rang to end the round.
