Between the seventh and eighth fights, Fedor Emelianenko came out, greeted the crowd and said that he

would like to fight in Japan on New Years Eve. Bouts for Dream 6 were scheduled for two rounds (first round

- 10 minutes, second round - 5 minutes).

Gegard Mousasi wins by submission (triangle choke) at 1:28 of the first round over Melvin Manhoef

Fight 3 - Middleweight GP Tournament Semi-Final Bout

Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza wins by submission (arm bar) at 1:27 of the first round over Zelg Galesik

Fight 4 - Lightweight Bout

K-Taro Nakamura wins a split decision (2-1) over Adriano Martins

Fight 5 - Heavyweight Bout

Sergey Kharitonov wins by submission (body shots) at 2:15 of the first round over Jimmy Ambriz 

Fight 6 - Featherweight Bout

Atsushi Yamamoto wins a unanimous decision (3-0) over Hideo Tokoro

Fight 7 - Middleweight Bout

Masakatsu Funaki wins by submission (heel hold) at :52 of the first round over Minowaman

Fight 8 - Welterweight Bout

Hayato "Mach" Sakurai wins a unanimous decision (3-0) over Kuniyoshi Hironaka

Fight 9 - Middleweight Bout

Yoshihiro Akiyama wins by submission (arm bar) at 6:26 of the first round over Tonooka Masanori

Fight 10 - Lightweight Bout

Shinya Aoki wins by submission (neck crank) at 1:10 of the first round over Todd Moore

Fight 11 - Heavyweight Bout

Alistair Overeem vs. Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic ended in a first round No Contest.

Fight stopped due to an accidental knee to the groin suffered by Cro Cop - could not continue (second one

Cro Cop suffered during the fight). Cro Cop hobbled back to the dressing room.

Gegard Mousasi wins by knockout (right up-kick) at 2:15 of the 1st rd over Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza -

Mousasi wins 2008 Dream Middleweight GP tournament.
