Friday the 8th of April saw the debut of Cagewarriors Quest, the first CWFC franchised show which was

set-up to promote the next generation of UK MMA fighters.  It took place at the Sheffield Octagon Centre

and featured Dan Hardy from the Rough House Gym in the Main Event as he stopped the experienced

Andy Walker from Poole Jiu Jitsu inside a round after surviving Walker’s initial submission attack.

 

Results were as follows:

Fight 1 - Featherweight Cage Kickboxing (3x3 minute rounds)

Amjed Shaffique wins a unanimous decision over Derek Robinson

 

Fight 2 - Featherweight Semi-Pro Women’s MMA (2x5 minute rounds with no head shots on the ground)

Shireen Fullerton wins a unanimous decision over Lisa Newton

 

Fight 3 - Lightweight Semi-Pro MMA (2x5 minute rounds)

"Psycho" Steve Tetley wins a unanimous decision over Andy Denny

 

Fight 4 - Welterweight Semi-Pro MMA (2x5 minute rounds)

Christian Dashwood wins by submission (guillotine choke) at 3:38 of the second round over Ben Lukowski

 

Fight 5 - Middleweight Cage Kickboxing (3x3 minute rounds)

Paul "Collision Course" Clarke wins by knockout at :08 of the first round over Pete Leaviss

 

Fight 6 - Welterweight Semi-Pro MMA (2x5 minute rounds)

Mark Ashworth wins a unanimous decision over Craig Ford

 

Fight 7 - Heavyweight Semi-Pro MMA (2x5 minute rounds)

Jim Wallhead wins by submission (rear naked choke) at :27 of the first round over Steve Matthews

 

Fight 8 - Main Event - Welterweight Professional MMA Rules (3x5 minute rounds)

Dan Hardy wins by TKO (ref stoppage from GnP) at 3:26 of the first round over Andy Walker

 

 

The next Cagewarriors Quest show is scheduled for Friday, the 29th of July at the Sheffield Octagon Centre.
