Cagewarriors Fighting Championships Announce The Final Card
For Their “Strike Force”
Supershow In Coventry, England May 21, 2005 Coventry Skydome Coventry, England
Special Thanks go out to Ian Dean and Cagewarriors.com for the following information:
The final card for the first Cagewarriors “Strike Force” show has been announced, featuring an intriguing line-up consisting of a hungry UK squad looking for revenge against the all-star French line-up in this never seen before 10 fight series.
Dougie Truman and Warrior Promotions are proud to announce the final confirmed card for their first “Strike Force” show to be held in the Coventry Skydome Arena on Saturday 21st May. This huge spectacle is without a doubt the biggest Cagewarriors event yet and will look to set an UK attendance record (By a UK based Promotion) with stacked 10 bout “UK vs. France” fightcard.
This event is highlighted by the local legend Barrington Patterson who not only leads the UK squad into battle against this talented French Legion, but will also participate in his first MMA bout on UK soil when he says goodbye to the fight game in style against the 130kg Frenchman Marc Emmanuel inside the spectacular Skydome.
This show also contains two CWFC title bouts as the Middleweight Champion Matt Ewin looks to avenge his Cage Rage 8 defeat by Damien Riccio and keep his unbeaten Cagewarriors win streak in-tact with a much needed win. Also in championship action is the unbeaten French submission specialist Emmanuel Fernandez, as he defends his Featherweight Title for the first time against the experienced ZST and long time UK veteran Danny Batten. Batten will be looking to put his surprise lost at “Ultimate Force” behind him and dethrone the 5-0 BJJ black belt in Coventry.
The final featured bout contains 280 kilo’s of mayhem as Antonio Silvia Junior from the new Cagewarriors Pro fight team “The Wolfslair Gym” looks to show that his stunning 90 second win over former CWFC Heavyweight champion Tengiz Tedoradze was no fluke, when he pits his considerable size and skills against fellow behemoth Marcus Tchinda from Team Quoniam. Without a doubt this really is the "biggest" bout ever held in the UK and we at Cagewarriors are proud to showcase this super-heavyweight showdown at the Skydome in Coventry on May 21st.
Fightcard All CWFC MMA bouts will be held under Professional NSAC/CWFC MMA Rules, consisting of three, 5 minute rounds (3x5) for non-title bouts and five, 5 minute rounds (5x5) for Title fights. All fights are under MMA rules unless stated and will be held inside the 32ft custom made CWFC octagon.
