Cagewarriors "Strike Force"

Cagewarriors Announce Their Latest Card For Their "Strike Force" Event

On Saturday 21st May 2005 In Coventry, England

May 21, 2005

Coventry Skydome

Coventry, England

Special Thanks go out to Ian Dean and Cagewarriors.com for the following information:

The Skydome in Coventry will play host to the first Cagewarriors Fighting Championships event in the

Midlands, as on the 21st of May, the Cagewarriors Fighting Championships in association with Coventry

based “Warrior Promotions” present a night of international Mixed Martial Arts action.

The first Cagewarriors "Strike Force" show is a ground breaking event taking place in the world class

Skydome arena in Coventry, which holds 4000 fans and features 11 exciting Mixed Martial Arts/Ultimate

Fighting bouts. The main event of the evening features local fighting legend Barrington Patterson as he

takes on the 130kg Frenchman Marc Emmanuel in Patterson's retirement bout. Both of these men have

experience fighting in Holland and look to end the show with a huge striking based showdown. “Strike Force”

will also see the debut of Antonio Silva Junior, from the new CWFC pro fight team “The Wolfslair Gym.”

This 120kg+ Brazilian has already made a huge impact when he pulverized former CWFC Heavyweight

Champion Tengiz Tedoradze in just over a minute on his MMA debut.

However that’s not all, as the main theme of “Strike Force” is a UK vs. France series. As a UK team will look

to avenge a 3-2 loss they suffered at Cagewarriors 4 when Emmanuel Fernandez triangled Robbie Olivier

to seal a French win in the final fight of the best of five series. On May 21st the new breed of UK MMA

fighters have their chance to turn the tables and defeat the French at the world class Skydome arena.

This show will not only be the biggest Cagewarriors Show yet, but will also be the UK’s biggest Ultimate

Fighting/MMA show and will focus on giving the fans in attendance complete entertainment package for all

the fans in attendance that includes a mix of big screens and pyrotechnics for those with standard tickets to

enjoy. Whilst VIP’s will have a lavish area which will have hostesses, waitresses and more which will give a

more formal feel to the proceedings.

Fightcard

All CWFC MMA bouts will be held under Professional NSAC/CWFC MMA Rules, consisting of three, 5

Due to the popularity and the local connections surrounding this event, all 67 VIP Tables were sold out

before tickets went on general release. Since then, the rest of the VIP seating area have also been sold.

However, standard tickets are available at the Skydome’s box office and range from £20, £15, and 10 pounds

with a special Family ticket of £30 (for 2 adults and 2 children).

Due to local demand, Cagewarriors have added three more dates for 2005, as the Strike Force brand returns

to the Skydome on the 16th of July, 24th of September and the 26th of November. Both the CWFC and

Warrior Promotions hope to build on the growing popularity of this new fight phenomenon by establishing a

tight local base in the midlands before expanding to other areas in 2006.

Also don’t forget the other Cagewarriors brands as the Cagewarriors “Ultimate Force” will be looking to repeat

the success of its first show at the Sheffield Octagon Centre, when it moves to a much bigger venue in

nearby Doncaster later on this year. Whilst “Cagewarriors Quest” has three more confirmed dates at the

Sheffield Octagon Centre on the 29th of July, 17th of September and 18th of December. No other UK

promotion offers such a diverse array of events and Cagewarriors is already planning its return to London and

will also expand its semi-pro division to another base in the UK in 2006.

includes a Northern Franchise run by respected Northern promoter Paul Murphy and Cagewarriors Quest,

which is the CWFC’s Semi-Pro division.

As well as running MMA events the CWFC also has its own website at http://www.cagewarriors.com which

contains information about the CWFC, merchandise, ticket details, DVD’s and also boasts an in-depth UK

and World MMA news website and forum.
