The prestigious M-1 Challenge event is to finally hit British shores this Saturday. As Warrior Promotions

(owners of Cage Warriors Fighting Championship) in conjunction with M-1 Global put on a 14 bout

international card, as a pre-cursor to introducing the first ever British Team into the M-1 Challenge

Tournament next year.

This Saturday will see four of the leading M-1 Challenge Teams will battle it out in pursuit of national pride

and personal glory, as the teams competing in Nottingham look to qualify for the finals in Japan on New

Year's Eve. These teams include: Team Red Devils as they square off against Team USA in a five bout

series. Whilst Team Russian Legion take on Team World in another five bout series.

Each bout will be fought over 2 x 5 minute rounds, in the M-1 Ring, with each team fielding five fighters

across the Lightweight, Welterweight, Middleweight, Light-Heavyweight & Heavyweight divisions. The

ultimately successful team will receive a $50,000 win bonus at the end of the season.

So with points to play for this Saturday, fans should expect 10 tense battles between some top up-and-

coming International fighters such as Fedor Emelianenko protégé Kirill Sidelnikov, BodogFight veterans; Erik

Oganov and Jeremiah Constant, KOTC Veterans; Brandon Magana and Bryan Harper and the rising young

European Lightweight Wim Deputter.

Plus there will be an additional 3 "Superfights" which includes the eagerly awaited Heavyweight rematch

between local favourite and former Pro boxing star Wayne Buck, as he attempts to seek redemption against

the Italian Muay Thai fighter Matteo "The Brutal" Minonzio. Whilst the rinsing UK standout "Judo" Jim

Wallhead takes on the BJJ Black Belt Igor Araújo in a Welterweight Superfight. And in the Middleweight

division, two Cage Warriors regulars square off as Cliff Hall faces the Muay Thai fighter Christian Smith in

an exciting local derby.
