KRO1 PROMOTIONS presents CAGE OF FIRE VII - FACE OFF!

“El Auditorio Municipal de Tijuana”, with a spectator capacity of 5,500 seats and long time home to national

and world championship Boxing, Muay Thai, and Pro Wrestling bouts, has now embraced the world’s fastest

growing sport of Mixed Martial Arts to consolidate its legendary status as one of Mexico’s premier fight

venues.

2 Championship Title Bouts Headline The Card

COF Lightweight Championship

JoeyLeoncito Alvarado is set to make his first title defense facing # 1 ranked DanielChango

Morales  in the closing bout of the night. Alvarado, an accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu artist with a strong

Boxing base, won the vacant lightweight championship title defeating the younger but no less talented

fighting sensation KyleSpidermanOlsen via unanimous decision in COF V past January 27th of the year

in course. A veteran of KOTC and CFC Joey brings a strong well rounded game to meet Morales. “Chango”

Morales is well known to the supporting fans of the fight sport in Mexico. Daniel, born and raised in Tijuana,

drops a weight class from his successful showings in the welterweight division to be at his best form and

challenge Alvarado for the lightweight title. Morales has quickly risen to be the top contender and one of

Tony Galindo’s Bull Pen best representatives. Both fighters are well equipped with standup and grappling

skills. The winner may well be determined by who brings the best conditioning and mental toughness to the

match.

COF Bantamweight Championship

The vacant COF Bantamweight Title is up for grabs between two of the most talented fighters in the division.

Brandon Gushiken VS Gerardo Morales. Gushiken lost a controversial split decision in December of last

year disputing the vacant bantamweight title facing BradRoosterRoyster. Although the judges score

cards favored Royster… Brandon received the strongest response from the crowd. Gushiken requested the

fight be reviewed by the Athletic Commission and although the decision remained… a direct rematch was

declared mandatory. Royster since has evaded to fight Gushiken in rematch; refusing to comply with

Tijuana’s Athletic Commission’s decision and COF’s title contract, thus the title has been declared vacant

once again.

Brandon made a successful elimination bout winning a unanimous decision against the BJJ World Champion

Rafael Salomao in COF VI last February. Gerardo Morales, making his first appearance in COF, is

considered one of Mexico’s top bantamweights having emerged as National Champion in the 8 men Vale

Tudo tournament Reto Final held in Mexico City. Morales’ rounded game as a shootfighting specialist and

champion credentials qualified him to dispute the title facing Gushiken. Brandon has evolved from his solid

wrestling base to a well rounded game including an arsenal of submissions honed under one of Mexico’s top

fighter-trainer Raul Arvizu; and his new toy … sharp shooting boxing skills … learned from Maikito

Martinez. Gerardo made the long trip from his home town Cancun, Mexico, two weeks in advance for the

last stage of training under his mentor Rigoberto Lopez at Kung Do Lama’s headquarters in Tijuana to

meet Gushiken in the city that now claims him as one of his own. Representing Ma Du Entertainment at the

start of his career Brandon now trains and fights out of Arvizu’s Entram Vale Todo Gym in Tijuana, Mexico.

When the fire of the fight action settles … and the smoke clears … a new COF Bantamweight Champion will

be crowned!

10 additional fights are scheduled to complete the card including gladiators from Brazil, USA, and Mexico

clashing in close duels that are sure to make this coming Saturday in CAGE OF FIRE VII - FACE OFF an

electrifying high voltage fight night!
