Scott Catlin wins by TKO (strikes) at :25 of the first round over Sipanhya Koummalasy

 

Fight 2 - Welterweight Bout

Warren James wins by submission (rear naked choke) at 1:27 of the first round over Xavier Mondragon

 

Fight 3 - Flyweight Bout

Rafael Salomao wins by submission (triangle choke\elbows) at 2:47 of the first round over Maurice Eazel

 

Fight 4 - Lightweight Bout

Shannon Gugerty wins by first round submission (rear naked choke) over Paris Ruiz

 

Fight 5 - Welterweight Bout

Iuri Silva wins by second round submission (guillotine choke) over Nate Aye

 

Fight 6 - Middleweight Bout

Virgilio Lozano wins by TKO (fighter retirement) at 2:16 of the second round over Bill Smallwood

In the second round, the ref stood the fighters up after they were tied up on the ground and Smallwood

told the ref he could not continue - Smallwood sat on the mat and had the doctor check his left leg - He

looked to be in discomfort but was able to walk out of the cage.

 

Fight 7 - Lightweight Bout

Mauro Salomao wins by first round submission (arm bar) over Jeff Willingham

 

Fight 8 - Heavyweight Bout

Antonio Velarde wins by second round TKO (knee\strikes) over Adolfo De La Torre

 

Fight 9 - Middleweight Bout

Mike Seal wins by first round TKO (fighter retirement) over Marcos Rodriquez

After Seal landed some knees, they separated and Rodriquez motioned he could not continue (possible

broken nose).

 

Fight 10 - COF Bantamweight Championship (vacant)

Brandon Gushiken wins by disqualification at 4:40 of the second round over Gerardo Morales - Morales

was DQ'd for an illegal knee to the head. Gushiken wins title. An immediate rematch was ordered at the next

Cage of Fire.

 

Fight 11 - COF Lightweight Championship

Daniel Morales wins by submission (verbal from elbows) at 3:17 of the first round over Joey Alvarado -

Morales wins title from Alvarado.

On Sunday, via telephone, Brandon Gushiken decided not to accept the COF Bantamweight title in his

controversial disqualification win over Gerardo Morales. In recognition of the closeness of the bout and

out of respect for his opponent, Gushiken has accepted the mandated rematch at the next Cage of Fire.

Henceforth, the COF Bantamweight title has been ruled vacant -  KRO1 Promociones (Cage of Fire

promoters)
