Both fighters go to the

submission from the bottom - Palomares goes from arm bar to triangle - on
a few
occasions, it seemed like he
had a good submission sunk in but Briones was able to hold on till the end
of
the round. Round 2 - Briones
came out strong, able to take Palomares down and control the fight on the
ground - he mounted Palomares
and landed some short elbows and punches. Palomares just trying to
defend. Round 3 - both
fighters try their stand up skills - there was a couple of take down
attempts but none
were successful - both
fighters able to land some strikes against each other but Briones landed
the more
damaging blows, which in the
end, gave him the win.

first round TKO (strikes) over Xavier Godines
Fighters came out, Jimenez
came in with a kick, Godiness blocks - Jimenez came in with another high
kick, Godiness moves - now
Godiness moving around the ring trying to avoid Jimenez - they clinch and
go
to the floor where Jimenez
gets the top position - Jimenez goes for a rear naked choke as Godines
tries to
move - Godines does a good job
of defending the rear naked choke but turns around where he is greeted
with some punches from the
mount. Ref comes in and stops the fight.
Fight 3 - Middleweight Bout
Bryan Baker wins by
submission (strikes) at 1:14 of the first round over Scott Rose

kicks and punches - Rose attempts a take down but Baker reverses and lands
on top and starts the
ground-and-pound. Rose tries to flip and reverse his position but Baker
was a step
ahead of him with a counter of
his own - and controlling the position once again, Baker utilized the
ground-
and-pound giving Rose no other
option but to tap.
Fight 4 - Bantamweight Bout
Antonio Duarte wins by
submission (guillotine choke) at :22 of the first round over Rick
Screeton
Duarte came in with a punch,
Screeton ducks under and slams Duarte but unfortunately for Screeton,
when he went for the slam,
Duarte set up the guillotine choke and held it - even after he got slammed
- and
was able to apply more
pressure on the ground which made Screeton tap.

Jeremy McHon wins by
knockout (slam\strikes) at :41 of the first round over Edgar Medina
Medina came in with a punch,
Mchon goes for a take down - Medina defends, finally Mchon gets the double

Medina's head bounces of the mat and gets knocked out - and as Mchon is
coming in with some punches,
the Ref stops the fight. Good stoppage by the Ref for being able to see
the
knocked out fighter.
Fight 6 - Welterweight Bout
Joao Cunha wins by
submission (verbal to arm bar) at 2:30 of the second round over Toby
Imada
Imada came out swinging but
misses Cunha - they go to the mat where both show a great ability to
scramble on the ground and
avoid any trouble - fighters stand up, Cunha takes Imada down again, this
time
Cunha is able to get better
positions as they scramble and again, both fighters get up with Cunha able
to
land some punches - fight goes
back on the ground where Cunha is able to get top position and round ends.

landed - Castro's left punch
was the good one, which sent De La Torre down and out.
Fight 8 - COF Lightweight
Championship (5 Rds)
Joey Alvarado wins a
five round unanimous decision over Kyle Olsen
This one went the distance -
Alvarado was able to control the pace and the positioning of the fight -
when
they stood up, Alvarado was
able to out strike Olsen and when it went to the ground, Alvarado
controlled the
fight by better position and
was able to strike and cause damage while on the ground - not a complete
dominance as Olsen was able to
move positions at times but Alvarado looked in control and much stronger.
