Welterweight Bout (8 Rds) Ray Sanchez (17-1, 13 KOs) wins by TKO at 3:00 of the 2nd rd over Robie Lee Adamson (8-1-1, 7 KOs) Adamson downed in the first round from a straight left, got up - got an eight count, continued and with the first punch from Sanchez (overhand right), downed again (up at the count of six). In the second round, Adamson downed again with a straight left - got up at the count of nine but the ref stopped the bout.
Light Heavyweight Bout (4 Rds) Calvin Hollins (1-1, 1 KO) wins by TKO at 2:00 of the first round over Ruben Sanchez (0-1) Sanchez downed in the first from what looked like a push but counted as knockdown - moments later, Sanchez downed again and Hollins hit Sanchez while he was on one knee - ref penalized Hollins 2 points for hitting a downed opponent. The ref asked Sanchez if he could continue (if he couldn't, Hollins would be disqualified) but he said yes - Hollins then pinned Sanchez in a corner and whaled away until Sanchez fell out of the ring and onto the lip of the ring and the ref stepped in between them - the ref told Sanchez he had 20 seconds to get back in but he didn't - ref stopped the bout.
