Judges scored the bout 79-73, 79-73, 79-71 for Gesta.

IBA Continental Featherweight Title Bout (10 Rds)

Rogers Mtagwa (24-12-2, 18 KOs) wins by TKO at 1:20 of the 10th rd over Tomas Villa (20-6-4, 13 KOs)

About halfway into the ninth round, Mtagwa was stunned with a left and was downed with a right (up at the

count of four). During the one minute rest period between the ninth and 10th rounds, Mtagwa's corner

instructed the ref that if their fighter got hurt, to stop the bout. At the start of the 10th round, Villa downed

with a straight right (up right away). The fight resumed and both fighters traded punches....Mtagwa getting

the better of the exchanges and eventually sent Villa down again with a another right (Villa up at the count of

seven) - The fight resumed and Mtagwa landed a right hook that sent Villa down into the ropes and the ref

quickly jumped in and stopped the bout. Awesome brawl throughout the 10 rounds....both fighters showed

tremendous heart. Mtagwa wins title.
