Telefutura’s Solo Boxeo To Televise 10-round Battle Between

Former World Champion Ouma & The Hard-Hitting Saul Roman

At Morongo Casino Resort & Spa

LOS ANGELES – Former World Junior Middleweight Champion Kassim “The Dream” Ouma is ready to get

back into the ring and back on the road to a world title in 2008. Mexico’s Saul Roman has shown the

warrior’s heart necessary to battle “The Dream”, and on Friday, November 2nd, these two junior

middleweights will go to war when Golden Boy Promotions returns to the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in

Cabazon, California for an unforgettable night of world-class boxing action on TeleFutura’s Solo Boxeo.

Tickets for Ouma vs. Roman, priced at $150, $100 and $50, are on sale now and can be purchased at the

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa Box Office at (951) 755-5391 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. The fights

will be televised on TeleFutura’s ‘Solo Boxeo’ beginning at 8 pm ET / PT.

“After the success of our first show at Morongo featuring Daniel Ponce De Leon, Golden Boy Promotions is

very excited to bring another explosive night of world championship caliber boxing to the Inland Empire,” said

Oscar de la Hoya, President of Golden Boy Promotions. “We are proud to present former World Champion

Kassim Ouma on this card so he can show the junior middleweight division that he is on the road to another

world championship.”

When it comes to action-packed fights, few fighters do it better than former world champion Kassim “The

Dream” Ouma (25-3-1, 15 KO’s), who holds the Compubox record for the most punches landed in a junior

middleweight title fight with 502. Ouma, a fighter who always comes forward when he fights, is also well

known for the hardships he suffered early in his life having to fight in his native Uganda’s civil war as a child

soldier at the age of six. Inactive since losing a hard-fought middleweight title fight to Jermain Taylor in

December of 2006, the 28-year-old Ouma is chomping at the bit to get back in the ring and back in the win

column. In Tijuana’s Saul Roman (27-4, 24 KO’s), whose last four wins have come by knockout, Ouma will

be facing a hard-hitting battler who would like nothing more than to add the name of the former world

champion to his list of victims.

Opened in 2004 by the Morongo tribe, the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa is one of the largest tribal gaming

facilities in the United States and home to a host of luxurious facilities that have made it a must-visit

destination for local residents as well as visitors from around the world.
