Gabriel Martinez (14-0, 7 KOs) wins a split decision over Arturo Brambilla (8-9, 4 KOs) - Judges scored

the bout 77-75 Brambilla, 79-73 Martinez, 77-75 Martinez.

 

WBO Bantamweight Title Bout (12 Rds)

Jhonny Gonzalez (34-5, 29 KOs) wins by TKO at 1:04 of the 9th round over Irene Pacheco (33-2, 24 KOs)

- In the ninth round, Pacheco was hurt with a flurry of punches against the ropes with a left upper cut doing

some damage - Gonzalez then began to throw punches and landed a straight right that sent Pacheco

back and leaning on the bottom two ropes - Gonzalez then followed with a three punch combo that put

Pacheco through the second and third ropes (Pacheco held onto the ropes, trying not to fall out of the ring) -

The ref then jumped in and stopped the bout - Gonzalez retains his title. Pacheco, a former IBF Flyweight

champion, then announced his retirement.

 

Super Flyweight Bout (4 Rds)

Jose Salazar (3-0, 2 KOs) wins by TKO at 2:15 of the second round over Gerardo Garcia (0-1)

Garcia downed early in the second from a left uppercut (up at the count of three) - then about one minute

into the second round, the bell accidentally sounded causing a break in the action but it was quickly rectified

and the fight resumed - Garcia was downed again with a right hook (up at the count of three) - the fight

resumed and shortly thereafter, Garcia was put to the canvas for the third time with another right hook (up at

the count of three) - the ref gave Garcia a standing eight count but stopped the bout.
