In the second round, Lorenzana went down to his knee again from another left to the body (took a nine count on his knee) - the fight resumed and the second left to the body from Mendez put Lorenzana down and he took the 10 count.
Super Welterweight Bout (6 Rds) David Toribio (14-9, 8 KOs) wins by TKO at 2:01 of the first round over Juan Novoa (11-1, 10 KOs) Novoa stunned midway through the first round and tried to hang on - Toribio put on the pressure and was finally able to put Novoa down with a series of punches - Novoa got up at the count of six but the ref took a good look at him and stopped the bout.
Super Lightweight Bout (4 Rds) Roberto Acevedo (2-2-1, 2 KOs) and Ramon Guevara (8-12-1, 6 KOs) battled to a draw - Judges scored the bout 37-37, 37-37, 37-37. In the second round, Acevedo put to his knees with a right to the stomach (up at the count of three). A few seconds later, Guevara landed a low blow and Acevedo went down - the ref counted it as a knockdown and Acevedo, complaining about the low blow, was up at the count of five.
