San Manuel Indian Nation, Calif. – Thursday, November 20, San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino in

association with Roy Englebrecht Events, presents an evening filled with exciting action of live Championship

Boxing.  Tickets are available now at Ticketmaster.com and the San Manuel Box Office for $35 and $50. 

 

San Manuel is teaming up for the first time, with renowned boxing promoter Roy Englebrecht to present a

hard-hitting night of professional boxing featuring some of the game’s brightest young stars.  Englebrecht,

who has been in the industry over 20 years, will bring his extensive background and local ties to the nights

events. 

 

When asked about the opportunity to host the event with a new promoter, Executive Director of Operations,

Steve Lengel said, “Local fighters are always a big draw for San Manuel sporting events and teaming up with

a local promoter is a great way for us to showcase that homegrown talent to our audiences. Our boxing fans

want to feel a connection to the fighters and this is a great opportunity for us to expand that experience for

them.”

 

The main event will be an exciting battle between lightweights for the San Manuel Championship Belt and will

feature local fighter John Molina (13-0, 9 KOs), who is a local native from Covina.  Molina, a premier prospect

known for his speed, power, and exciting style is looking to win his first professional title by battling eight

rounds with an opponent yet to be determined. 

 

Another exciting bout is a six round lightweight contest between highly-touted female contender Rhonda

Luna (12-1, 1 KO) and Kina Malpartida (8-2, 1 KO).  Luna is a local Southern California native coming from

Rowland Heights and is an English teacher and softball coach by day.  Malpartida, born in Peru, is from

Irvine and is also a World Class Surfer.   

 

Other fights will feature Ontario’s Jose “El Nino” Reynoso (9-2, 1 KO) vs. Barstow’s Brian Gordon (4-1, 1

KO); Aaron Martinez (8-1, 3 KOs) vs. Holario Lopez (12-4, 3 KOs); Ignacio Garcia (1-1) vs. Shawn Wate

(0-2-1); Artemio Reyes vs. TBD.  Fights are subject to change.

 

Doors open at 6:30 the night of the fight. A 21-and-older age requirement to enter the Casino is strictly

enforced.
