Vitali Klitschko vs. Odlanier Solis

March 19, 2011

Lanxess Arena

Cologne, Germany

WBC Heavyweight Title Bout (12 Rds)

Vitali Klitschko (42-2, 39 KOs) wins by KO at 3:00 of the first round over Odlanier Solis (17-1, 12 KOs)

With less than 10 seconds left in the first round, it looked like Solis went down from a glancing right hook

(delayed reaction). Solis got up at the count of seven with the help of the ropes but his legs were giving out -

Solis could barely walk with the help of the ropes and the ref saw this and waved the fight over. On the

replay, it looked like as Solis was trying to duck the right, his left leg gave out eventually causing him to fall

back. And as he was on the canvas, he was grabbing his right leg. Then as he tried to get up, it looked like

he couldn't put much weight on his right leg or his left leg . Klitschko retains title.
