- M.E.N Arena - Manchester, England WBA Heavyweight Title Bout (12 Rds) David Haye (24-1, 22 KOs) wins by TKO at 2:01 of the 9th rd over John Ruiz (44-9-1, 30 KOs) Towards the end of the fifth round, Ruiz downed with two rights (the second right landed a bit behind the head) - up at the count of seven to end the round. In the sixth round, Ruiz went down to a knee after getting hit behind the head with three consecutive rights - the ref counted it as a knockdown though (Ruiz up at the count of four motioning he got hit behind the head). In the ninth round, after getting hit with five consecutive punches, Ruiz's corner waved the towel causing the ref to stop the bout. Haye retains title.
- FSN Top Rank Live: American Bank Center - Corpus Christi, Texas Welterweight Bout (10 Rds) Mike Alvarado (27-0, 19 KOs) wins by TKO at :42 of the 2nd round over Lenin Arroyo (20-12-1, 4 KOs) In the second round, Arroyo downed with a right uppercut - Arroyo tried to get up using the ropes but fell back down and was in no condition to continue so the ref stopped the bout.
Welterweight Bout (6 Rds) Jose Juan Fuentes (8-1, 4 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Esteban Almarez (9-3, 4 KOs) - Judges scored the bout 59-54, 59-54, 58-55 for Fuentes. At the end of the fifth round, Almarez downed with a left hook (up right away to end the round).
USBA Featherweight Title Bout - vacant (12 Rds) Miguel Angel Garcia (21-0, 18 KOs) wins by TKO, 1:07 of the 1st rd over Tomas Villa (22-7-4, 14 KOs) In the first round, Villa downed with a left, right combo (up right away) - the fight resumed and after a brief exchange, Villa went down from a straight right. Villa got up at the count of three and was ready to continue (albeit a bit wobbly) but Villa's corner waved the towel and the ref stopped the bout.
Featherweight Bout (4 Rds) Jerry Belmontes (12-0, 3 KOs) wins a majority decision (38-38, 39-37, 39-37) over Gil Garcia (2-1)
Light Heavyweight Bout (6 Rds) Alfonso Lopez (19-0, 15 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Gabriel Holguin (25-8, 9 KOs) - Judges scored the bout 59-55, 59-55, 60-54 for lopez.
